I can bet that this was the original planned release date - September. Now its just "Holidays 2017".
What holidays? Every nation have its own holidays. I am confused. Or are they referring to the center of the world, murica?
Also, Why did they delay it? Because they need time to release another 10 amiibos?
They never said a thing about September (also, if they ever did, why not give us a link to an article where this was officially mentioned by Nintendo, to remind us of such?). Holidays generally refers to the Christmas season, so December or so.

It was always announced for "Holiday 2017". It was never announced for September or any specific month.
And you're not far off on the amiibo quip. There are four new amiibo being released to coincide with the expansion. At least they aren't just four more Link poses this time.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
September was never mentioned. It's supposed to ready for Christmas. I would have liked to see some footage, we've only got that tiny clip of "development footage". Maybe after Super Mario Odyssey has come out they'll start talking about and show more of it.

tbh, if it wasn't for the slight Metroid controversy, I would've forgotten Nintendo even released Amiibo this year. Also, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you know that Amiibo are not created by the Zelda game developers.

Yeah, Zombie EAD 3 only make all the exclusive gear and weapons that are unlocked WITH the amiibos! We sure showed him.
And to put this topic to bed, here's the original timeline: A vague 'Winter 2017' that would technically refer to December 21st through the 31st of this year. Not sure if they count January / February as 'Winter 2017,' but that seems doubtful.
