Inspired by the gents above, I had one more stint on METAL SLUG. My new personal best is 307, 800. I am right behind @wasilewski at 50th on the Global Leaderboard. Can also see @CW13 at 45th. Nice work chaps.

Is the end of level 100k bonus purely for all the prisoners? I self destructed my tank into the boss and still got the bonus!

@GrailUK I thought you got that bonus if your tank was in good condition, but I could be wrong.

@wasilewski Oh I send mine in to explode all the time while I'm practicing at level 2 (just a tad quicker to get there lol) but I still get the 'great' bonus. Might be able to touch 400K tomorrow if I have some play time. Christ I want Contra Arcade Archives.

@GrailUK how do you make it explode ?

@wasilewski Press shoot and jump together. You get out and it races ahead and detonates for massive damage.

@Lroy. Thanks my best is 309980. Can't get any highe. Trying to post pic. I'm definitely going to need help posting if we're not doing the hamster ones!(although I'm in for anything!) I'm happy with my score. See a lot of names in the leader boards, nice all!!!!

So that's about the best i can do. I have no idea how y'all have nailed some of the scores you have.

Personally, I was always more of a Contra fan, but this week's challenge was an excellent excuse to pick up this game rather than watch it sit in my wishlist forever.

I've made it in the top 100 I'm happy with that, no 80 with 262,770. I'm leaving it at that ,good luck everyone on your final push for the top.
