Topic: Potential Super Mario Sunshine Easter Egg

Hey, I have recently been trying to 100% complete Super Mario Sunshine and I noticed something. In every world except Corona Mountain If you look into the sky after starting a level, after a couple minutes an object I think is a comet flies by. I'm not sure if a certain number of shine sprites is needed to see this, I currently have 117. I am not sure if this is an Easter Egg or not, I have searched online but have not found anything about it, if anyone knows what it is or wants me to post pictures please tell me. Thanks.

Are you just talking about the jet plane that flies by?
