Hey guys, please be careful when checking your Email inbox. Today I got an Email from what "Claimed" to be from Nintendo, but several things tipped me off that it was fake. First of all, the first thing there is in the Email is a weird link titled only "Download Now".
Download what? The Email mentioned literally nothing about downloading something onto my computer. Hovering over the links, it appears that the website is not a legitimate Nintendo domain website, judging by the unusually long and complicated URL. Then, It asked to download "Top ten free demos" on my 3DS/Wii U. I've received legitimate Emails from Nintendo before asking me about the same thing, only the Email actually TOLD me about the games I could download. Instead there's just pictures of random Nintendo games, and of course there's a link titled "See the List". Hovering over that link, it wants to take me to that same page that the "Download Now" link provided.
Then, there's the fact that rather than referring to me by real-life name, like every REAL Nintendo Email has, it referred to me by old NNID Mii name, Vegeta, which means that these people have likely hacked Miiverse to learn our Email contacts. Plus, that "Vegeta" account has completely ceased any activity whatsoever for at least Three or Four Months now, so there's no way Nintendo would still have any interest in it. In short, if any of you guys get this same email, don't click any of the links, and if you can report it so no more fakes get sent.

I won the Spanish Lottery. They just need my signature, my pin number, and a copy of my mothers birth certificate. I know its probably a scam, but nuts to you! Ive won the Spanish Lottery!
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
Was this the URL? http://t.em-news.nintendo.com/r/?id=h1919914e,347ae44d,347ae5...
It appears to be a legit email and the download now just takes you to the 10 demos. I think there was some glitch in the system though since the mii name was from another user on my Wii U (there isn't even an email set up for that account)
And Nintendo usually uses your mii name, I believe it would use your name for Club Nintendo emails though.
