For better and cleaner results, use this variation of the code:
(Just replace the () for [])

(URL=WWW.your URL goes here.com)text(/URL)

This will make the "text" part a link to the URL after the "=".

Example:

This is with the first method: https://www.google.com.mx/search?q=pictures+of+puppies&oq...

This is with the second method: Pictures of puppies

As you can see, it's shorter and better looking. Just having the urls out in the open like that is... Distracting and makes it look more like spam than a signature.
