Yesterday I was on the computer just looking around, but then my computer just shut off completely. I looked at the tower (or big box holding the motherboard in a desk-top computer. Whatever you call it.) and saw a the power light flashing on and off slowly. After unplugging it and hitting the power on it, the fan began whirring as usual but my monitor didn't receive any signals. Today I tried turning it on again. It came on and then shut off with the power light flashing again. Has anyone had a problem before? If so could you tell me what to do? (I won't take "buy a new computer" as an answer.)

I've had a similar problem with my laptop. It may be the motherboard (which unfortunately you may have to replace if it is). I would contact the manufacturer of the computer or try some general computer help.

@3Dash: I went to their website on my 3ds (which is what I'm using right now) and it gave me problems. Also it seems I have to make an account to do anything on there. (I don't want e-Machine spam)

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
Solution: Close your 3ds and open it again.
But try unplugging every thing connected to it, and leave it for a bit. (I did that with my pc, and it worked)
You could also try holding the power button for about 30 seconds, but it could be less.
That's all I can think of in terms of simple fixes.

I have unplugged everything and let it sit, held the power button down for 30 seconds, everything. I originally though it had only over-heated. I ended up hooking a computer my uncle built for my family and I a few years back.
