The question I have for 3DS is when the the hardware revision comes out supposing I want to buy one, what will happen to my ambassador games and all my former purchases from the eshop? Seeing that Nintendo doesn't do accounts will I be able to recover any of this?

Yes, I would expect so. You can already do 3DS->3DS system transfers. I see no reason why any new hardware revisions would be excluded from this.

I would assume you could transfer games aswell. You could go DS to 3DS and not as digger dan said 3DS to 3DS, no real reason why they wouldn't let you. The real question is if you trade it in at gamestop will they let you transfer your games before you hand it over to them?

@Some_Chords - That one isn't quite so easy. Both systems need to have internet access and the process can take ages if you have a ton of stuff installed. I think you can basically delete as much as possible from your SD card (installed games, photos and audio recordings etc) to speed up the process. The games can then be re-downloaded from the eShop on the new system and you can probably copy the photos and audio recordings back on, but I bet it still takes ages.

Edit: Here's a video of the transfer process - 14 minutes in this example!!!

Yeah, even the DSi & 3DS did it, so why not?

I have a question: How do you get new videos on Nintendo Video? I wanna watch the Kid Icarus uprising shorts but it's not there when I check.

Just leave it in sleep mode. Eventually it will download the videos.
