I know this is your attempt to take a subtle swipe at me. Cute attempt.

I do so hope when you need a major operation that you get a surgeon that hasn't been to college. I wouldn't want you to be operated by an "educated" person.

It wasn't aimed at you (I know more people then you after all) and I said just because someone went to college doesn't mean they're smart, theyre uneducated people who went to college

From what i understand of it, educated people actually value what they are learning, while "educated" people just want good grades to stay in college and hope to get a job. Seriously, one student driving me in our university-runned cab service said she wished that students weren't required to go through the general education requirements towards a degree. Okay, I'm getting off topic

What.

Most people go to tertiary education (universities or colleges) because they want a career in the field they're studying.

These little pieces of paper cost way, way too much to do just to say "hurr I'm smarta than you."

Yes because they actually focus when in college, and when they graduate, the say "time for my brain to rest for 50 years"

Every University class mate I have kept in touch with is now working in the fields that they studied.

Where are you getting all this? Or is this another one of those "it's my opinion, so I'm allowed to say stuff" moments?

As Waltz has already said, most people don't go to college for kicks and giggles.

And I agree with him, I hope you get an 'uneducated' surgeon when you need it.

Actually I knew quite a few people who went to college just because their parents forced them to go..

From what I best know at the moment, people go to college to get a job, achieve a goal or dream requiring college, or for the simple desire to understand anything thrown at them. What I constantly notice at my school, though, is that students don't like the first few classes that lays the foundation for later academic studies (i.e. English, important themes from general ed studies). People may get themselves in a situation where they're simply striving for better grades/marks than actually learning. They may be unable to acquire the common skills as a scholar. If they don't get these skills down, they will have a harder time later on or compromise their actual education for a good grade or an inflated degree. I don't know about other schools though.

Really, this thread is derailed already and I'll stop my contribution here D:

Back on topic.

"Biased" game reviews good.

Definition of Bias - an oblique or diagonal line of direction, especially across a woven fabric.
2. a particular tendency or inclination, especially one that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question; prejudice.
3. Statistics. a systematic as opposed to a random distortion of a statistic as a result of sampling procedure.
4. Lawn Bowling.
a. a slight bulge or greater weight on one side of the ball or bowl.
b. the curved course made by such a ball when rolled.

How is any of this 'GOOD' when trying to gain insight from a reliable(non biased) source?

Because I used """"""""s

What most people label as "bias" is actually a critical analysis that they don't agree with. And because some people are childish enough to assume that every review has to be written to suit them, any critic that dares criticise their favourite game is clearly a bad critic.
