BTW here is the new ThunderCats trailer from WonderCon2011 [youtube:oAfrlyCGtZs]
why bother, it's too good to last on a network as incredibly stupid as CN.
Yes, I do hate everyone who didn't support Symbionic Titan, screw everything.
Really, CN's stupidity is single handedly making me approve shows online completely and utterly KILLING tv. MAYBE than we can get less bullcrap. It's worth internet darlings winning, it's so worth it at this point.
I'd go into full rant mode but I would be banned immediately afterwards for the amount of hatred and swearing that would be typed.
@TokyoRed: What I mean is Cartoon Network's executives supposedly cancel a lot of the shows that don't have strong merchandising support (which is what apparently got The Secret Saturdays cancelled, since toy aisles were filled with unsold stuff). From what I understand, no companies have even shown interest in SBT. So, despite strong ratings, SBT is likely on the chopping block. This cycle will go on for a long time, if we let it. BTW, I read Robotomy is also finished, because it couldn't get international support.
@WaveBoy: We have a block on the Hub made up of Transformers, GI Joe and the 60's Batman series. It's Mon-Thur late night & weekend mornings. :3

A preview clip of Gumball. From what i've read, it's being produced (and will premiere first) in Europe.
@TwilightV, I've gotta say that 'The Amazing World Of Gumball' looks INCREDIBLY impressive and I think I'll definitely keep and eye out for when it premieres in the USA.
I'm not really upset at Cartoon Network although it hurts to see Sym Bionic Titans going the way of the Dodo Bird. I'm quite impressed with the upcoming line-up for this Summer and Autumn. Young Justice, The New Looney Tunes Show, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, ThunderCats, The Amazing World of Gumball, Total Drama: Revenge of the Island, RedaKai: Conquer the Kairu, LEGO Ninjago along with the renewal of Star Wars The Clone Wars, Adventure Time and Regular Show have all strengthened my satisfaction with Cartoon Network. I think the executives at Cartoon Network payed attention to the complaints of Cartoon Networks fans and I believe that is apart of the reason why we're seeing such a big improvement with the programming on the channel.
It would also be nice if Cartoon Network and Nexon came together to create animated shows out of Maple Story, Dungeon Fighter and Dragon Nest as those games have a lot of content that made for great entertainment on television.
@Joetherocker! That song is so AWFUL! The show looks like something out of the mid-nineties and so I've got no complaint there in regard to that. I've been feeling retro for the last month till now!
Well here is the new spectacular Green Lantern trailer from WonderCon 2011. [youtube:r9Uw5twJ_dM]
Is there anything you and I can do to save Fraggle Rock from going into the forgetful darkness of space and time only to be relegated to sands of no return?

There was a good suggestion on that page. Wake up those morons at the Weinstein Company by going to see the new Muppet movie.
Yes, I plan on supporting the The Muppet Movie and I just e-mailed Cory Edwards a message of support to let him know I'm praying that Weinstein will give him the green light for Fraggle Rock.

It's funny reading the TV Tropes articles of cartoons. Very entertaining.
One "toon**" that I've really come to acknowledge is Avatar: The Last Airbender. (**I never liked acknowledging it as a cartoon, more of a anime-inspired Western animation piece.)
It was one of Nickelodeon's masterful shows in terms of story, comedy, animation and all-out awesomeness.
Well, I'm humbly waiting on the new iteration, The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra since we'll have a new Avatar who's the next female since Kyoshi and Yangchen. Story should take place about 70 years after the first Avatar arc. DiMartino and Konietzko have made it clear that it'll probably hit TV sets by mid-2012 and that Nick has ordered about 20 episodes so I really hope that it still have that Avatar feel, and also that it stays very far away for any references to the god-awful live action disaster that was M. Night Shymalan's The Last Crap-bender.
They should be going towards a newer demographic, aiming it more at teens and there's a considerable lack of locale as their main setting (Republic City) might as well be the only one for now, it seems.
Story-wise, Korra is the next Avatar, she's from the Southern Water Tribe, she's already mastered three elements (Waterbending, Earthbending and Firebending) and Aang & Katara's (Kattaang wins!) son, Tenzin, will teach her airbending. She's supposed to learn this amidst some sort of anti-bender movement brewing within her domain.
Anyone following news bits on it? I heard there's a great wiki on the whole series so far.
Sylverstone I really enjoy the Avatar franchise to. However, there isn't much news on the new show. I sure do enjoy the manga tie-ins for the Avatar The Last Airbender movie as that was the only good thing that came out of that awful movie project.
Otherwise, WHAT IN THE HECK are the people at Cartoon Network thinking?
You mean they ACTUALLY cancelled Robotomy? Please guys, tell me this isn't correct. Robotomy was a real gem. It was so good! Did they really cancel Robotomy?

Oh T_T. Okay, thx slider. Hopefully Adventure Time will live long and prosper.
I hope that perhaps in the future Cartoon Network will create a Robotomy spin-off show that will focus on Maimy and Weenus as those two characters are so very much the best.

From what I read, Robotomy had very strong ratings, but no international support.
Anyways: I hate the new Avatar series title. I can understand having to remove the Avatar brand name (stupid James Cameron...), but replacing it with the Last Airbender subtitle? It's unfitting and an insult to the new series.

I know right? Still, I do understand why Cameron choose the name 'Avatar' as the meaning of the Avatar suits his film just as much as applies to our beloved Nickelodeon franchise. It is quite abnormal when you stop think about the title 'The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra'. It's a bit long and it simply doesn't read right. You'd expect something along the lines of 'The Legend of Korra: Return of the Avatar' or 'Korra: Avatar Rising'.
