Topic: What Stafi games do you own?

I'm curious to see how many people on here own any of the Densetsu no Stafi games. I own all 5 myself (even the little Stafi plush) and have been a huge fan of the series since the first game popped up on the Game Boy Advance in Japan years ago.

Also who's planning on picking up The Legendary Starfy on June 9th?

Not a one. Might pick it up. To many other games to play in June though.

I have 2 and 3. I want the first one but looks like Im going to shell out quite a bit for it possibly. Heard that 4 was prob gettin a port so I never bought it. Ill buy it day one release here though. Cant wait, and oh yeah Ive never seen the plushie but that sounds pretty cool. I gotta find that to add to my game/star wars collection.

None so far, but I did pre-order the newest iteration.

Sadly none. I wish I could get my hands on the first 3 but I don't know how or where to get them. I do have the new one pre-ordered though and I cannot wait for that! How many Stafi games are there anyway? I thought there was only 4 Stafi games including the new one but Corbie says he has 5. Can somebody clear this up please?

There are three GBA titles and then two DS releases. The Legendary Starfy is the fifth title in the series.

Densetsu no Starfy 4 (DS)
Densetsu no Stafi: Taiketsu! Dairu Kaizokudan (DS) <-----This is our Legendary Starfy.

Wow, so there is already a Stafi for DS? Amazing that there are so many great Stafi games that America never got the opportunity to experience. Actually its more sad than amazing. I really appreciate you clearing this up for me Corbie! Also thanks for putting in all that work into all those Starfy articles and reviews! Starfy would be proud of you!

I was wondering if you've had a chance to read the new July issue of Nintendo Power Magazine. They have a review for the new Legendary Starfy game. I was a bit disappointed with the review because they gave the game a 7. No, this isn't some sort of 7 joke either, I'm being serious! Well, I'm still picking this game up regardless of the score. Not that a 7 is a bad score but I was expecting at least an 8 for this game. What do you think? I think you'll probably have a better and more reliable review for this game anyway! I just wanted to get your take on this.

Don't have any. I don't import. But the legendary starfy looks cool. I'll wait for reviews.

We're supposed to get in the review copy tomorrow, so I'll get the review up as quickly as possible. As for the NP review, someone else emailed me portions of it earlier, so I was a bit surprised that it got a 7, but I'll reserve ultimate judgement until I have a go at it myself. I'm expecting about an 8 or so, given how Stafi 4 was a bit of a step down from 3, but we'll see. I'll try to post some impressions on it here in the forums when I've had a chance to play it a bit.

Dont get down on yourself over a magazines review Wolf.... If you have never played a Starfi game you will have a lot of fun with any of them. The Starfi games are always compared to Kirby, but actually are ALOT more innovative than Kirby games. You will have a ton of fun with any Starfi game.

@Corbie.... I thought that The Legendary Starfy was just a translation of Densetsu No Stafi 4? Is it a whole new game? If not I will definately be grabbing it next time it drops to $20 on PlayAsia.

I have the 3rd one, and i play it on my GBM. It is enjoyable, but i don't like it as much as everyone else seems to.

Also, I would import them but I'm scared of not understanding it. Is there much of a language barrier?

I would say no, but they have a bucket load of text, i also know a bit of Japanese, so i can read the menus and so forth if something bothers me, otherwise, it is very straight forward.

Its very easy to figure out what to do, there is alot of text, alot so you just pretend you know I guess lol. But as in knowing what to do it shows you live examples along with all that text.
