Fame is over-rated. Yes you get the cash, the red carpets, the womens, the sponsorship deals and the fans, but, if a crack appears, you are screwed. Humanity and it's many media tendrils shall invade your life and pull it apart for the sake of a few more bucks. We suck! Tiger should have put a stop to it early on, with an honest and frank public apology to all involved, because he didn't, the vultures have been circling desperate for the next tasty morsel.

The only time this story interested me, was in it's early hours when news reports were suggesting a serious injury. I feared I would never get to see this great man play golf again. Fortunately though, he was ok, phew. I just hope in a years time people are talking about his uber golf skills again, and not all this boring cheese.

Man, stuff just keeeeps pouring out. At this rate, EA will drop him - but that's okay, Rockstar will probably pick him up to headline their next GTA title insteadOOOOOOH!

And he can compensate for a future Gilette loss when he's tapped for TAG: Body Spray.

@Vendetta: And if EA Sports drop his series, there will be no major titles on the Wii worth looking forward to from them. Sad when you think about it. Just because they say it won't affect them doesn't mean that will change.

This will change the golfing, Tiger Wood fans, and to lesser extend gamers, lives forever and for the worse.

I don't know about you SSBF99, but my life doesn't revolve around Tiger Woods, and neither should yours. My life will be fulfilling and damn fine without him or his games.

How good a golfer is does not directly correlate with how good the video game with there name on it will be, they can make the same game but call it Happy Gilmore's Golf 2010, it will still be the same game apart from with a different mug shot on the cover.

If Bob Barker is an unlockable character...instabuy!

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

Look at our American Media, guy screws up (literally) and I dont agree with it, as I would never cheat on my wife, but as the guy doesn't have to not only deal with his own personal demons now with himself and his family. Now his sponsors or dropping him and the rage on Television are basically praising it to get their story...... well their praise sounds like ".... and today we have learned that now.....HORRIBLY..... Tiger Woods sponsor Gatorade has now Officially Dropped him, and we have heard reports that many more are on there way, this is such a bad situation for the man, he may be ruined". Well maybe if you would shut the ...... up then it wouldn't be so Horrible then would it.
On the other hand though..... I play golf and its like 75% a mental game and 25% a physical game. If you havent learned to play and swing correctly then you wouldnt understand. Part of being a great gofer is the ability to shut the world out and 100% concentrate on your swing and the situation at hand. We will see if this enormous amout of media crap will affect his game. If it doesn't then he truly is the greatest golfer of all time.

TigerWoods is actually my brother (he's the runt, though, and I'm the good lookin' one), so I have plenty of justification to be following the demise closely.

I'm pretty upset about the fact that he's stepping down from golf permanently.. all because of this. It's especially upsetting because I can guarantee you that not all of these women who claim to have had an affair are telling the truth. And for some reason, people are believing them almost flat-out.

I'd go check the dictionary for the definition of "indefinitely". It certainly does not mean "permanently", and I presume that if he meant "permanently" he would have said "permanently". No doubt he'll be playing golf in 2010, his ego will not allow for anything otherwise.

Oh, and I second the instabuy on Happy Gilmore Golf. How cool would that be with Wii Motion Plus?

@Thomas Joseph: That was an overexaggeration, but things will change if Tiger Wood lose his sponsorship with EA Sports.
@KnuckleSonic8: He's stepping out of golf? The world gets worse every day and it's true.

I'm not surprised Tiger cheated. If all I did was play golf all the time, I'd probably also do some drastic, unsettling things to offset the boredom.

If it had a Bob Barker fighting minigame, it'd be an insta-buy for me too! XD

It was a whimsical idea at first to put a point across, but the more I think about it the more I think a Happy Gilmore golf game would be a great idea!!!!

Somebody phone EA

You're the second person this week who's said that on here. Who the hell else dya think I'm speaking for?

The 'we' was humanity, I thought that was obvious. lz, you and I have no interest in what Tiger gets up to when he's not playing golf, but that hasn't stopped the western world going completely barmy over a single celebrity, and the collapse of their life. It's not the first, it won't be the last. We suck!

It's good to hear Tiger is finally facing up to it, and that he has released a more honest statement. Tis a shame the game of golf won't be seeing him for a while (not that any of the Pro's will miss him), but I expect him to return next year, preferably, after the Ryder Cup.

EDIT: As for Stevie's new franchise, one copy, sold!!
