So I have 450 points now, and I really want to reach platinum level by the end of this year (in three days), which means I would have to get three more games, but do you think I should wait until after the Club N year, and use those points toward next year, or go for it? I'm not exactly rich, so I don't know which would be the best idea.

well, I never buy games at full price, plus, I could probably get a code from my sister, who has a wii and Mario Kart Wii, So I'd probably just have to buy two $20 games. So what it comes down to, is should I spend my $40 on this year or the next?

I would definitely recommend getting to Platinum if at all possible. On the off chance the prize is something awesome, you'll never forgive yourself if you miss out! Better to play it safe, I say.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm just teasing. Main reason my list would be so big is that I have more than just Nintendo systems. When you have it all, stuff piles up.

I just bought all three new Overlord games at release this week with nary a second thought! I've played some of Minions and Dark Legend thus far, but haven't touched 2 yet. Too many games indeed. I guess you just have more willpower than I.

With all that said, if I didn't have Platinum (with 1o00 coins to spare) by now, I'd buy more to get the status even if it DID mean increasing my backlog. Like I said, I just don't think it's worth the risk to miss out on the prize. That's just me, though. You can do what you want. You DID ask for advice, though.

hahaha, yes, I did. And I think that's what I'll do. I actually get off work early in the afternoon tomorrow, so I'll probably go to Gamestop then (barf) and remedy this situation. Unfortunately it's almost 5 in the morning now, and I have work at 8, which is not cool...so maybe I'll take a nap first.

You really should get a backlog if you have that many games to account for, but then I guess that might just put more time between you and actually finishing any of those games.

That (barf) looks out of place. Did you perchance mean to say "go to Gamestop (barf) and remedy the situation?" The way you typed it suggests you intend to barf inside the store, and I for one would be VERY displeased if you did that during MY shift.

haha! no, that's not what I meant at all. I work at a restaurant, so I know how it is when people barf and I have to clean it up, but, wow. I can't even imagine what it'd be like in a game store...scary, no doubt. No, I was just voicing what my mind thinks when I go to Gamestop. Some of them are pretty good stores, but on the whole, Gamestop charges too much, and I wish there were more competition to keep it fair, because they are kind of the only game stores I ever see anymore.

What do you think is "scary" about working in a game store? Most people think it sounds cool or the like.

I actually agree with you about Gamestop, though. Too monopolistic. I'd work at a different game store if there was one around. Closest one is too far away for me, though.

You could try used gamecube games. Sometimes they still have the codes in em.

Gamecube games don't have Club Nintendo surveys, though, so that wouldn't help.

No, I don't think it'd be scary just working in a video game store, I think it'd be scary if someone barfed in the middle of a video game store.
