I really enjoyed through episode 4 in season 1. Season 2 was excellent from start to finish. But season 3 just isn't clicking with me.

I thought season 2 was easily the worst season.

I love all things The Walking Dead, albeit I have a tendency to struggle with how the show handles things at times. While the show has arguably made some characters really great and dare I say better than their comic counterparts, it has completely botched up and left me disappointed with others. While I think that they've done an excellent job making me really like Hershel, Maggie, Carol, and introduced the forever fan favorite Dixon brothers, I still can't get over how badly they've fucked up some people. Michone is a character that I'm frustrated with, but will reserve judgement on for the time being. She's always been a silent character, so I'll give them a chance. Dale was just so rather useless on the show despite how much I loved what the character was supposed to be and Jeffery Demunn in the role and his death was among the most frustratingly stupid parts of Season 2. The entire Shane situation was WAY too drawn out for the sake of drama though I thought they managed to do a decent job with his character. Then Andrea, oh Andrea

It's beginning to steer away from the comics, especially with last Sunday and next Sunday's episode.

It was an interesting change that Axel was originally intended to be the serial killer, but they opted to turn him into more likable comic-esque version of Axel.

Edit: On the subject of Dale, "Fear the Hunters" is, by far, my favorite arc in the comic. Largely because of Dale.

I just recently discovered The Walking Dead by playing the Telltale game. I loved the game and can't wait for the next one. I than watched the TV show on Netflix but for some reason I just couldnt get into the show like I could the game.

Probably because the game is based on the comic series. While both are great, they are certianly different beasts — the game captures the feel of the comic better than the tv series does (that's not really a criticism of the show — considering the inherent differences of the media, the tv show also often does a great job of capturing the tone of the comic series).

Though i have loved the entire series thus far, i must admit that Season 2 had its problems — mainly because much of the season (the first half in particular) just had them spinning their wheels while on the farm. Season 3 has been great so far. Looking forward to Tyrese and his crew coming back into the mix (cuz you know it's gonna happen). Meanwhile, i hope Andrea gets capped. As a fan of the comics, it's sad to see her TV character be written the way she is — in the comic, Andrea is one of the best characters, not this middling idiot we've seen in the show. Sigh.

BTW, on the subject of Dale, he is/was one of my favorite characters (even if the writing for him in Season 2 did start to fall apart). It's worth noting that he wasn't originally planned to be killed so early, but when Frank Darabont left the show, Jeffery DeMunn asked to be released from the show as well (he was mainly doing the show because of Darabont's involvement). Interesting how they've now had Hershel step into the "Dale-ish" role, which suits him well.

Someone convince me to watch this cause everyone at school is. I watched the first season, and the entire time it felt like I was waiting for something to happen. Compare that to the other AMC show I tried, Breaking Bad. That started out good but kept getting better and better.

Another question, please explain the relevance of condoms to this show? I keep hearing that and it confuses the hell out of me.

No particular relevance to the show, but condoms are often pointed to as good supplies for Zombie-apocalypse preparation, as they can easily hold a lot of water without breaking (and they actually mentioned this during the Talking Dead aftershow, lol).
