The creator of Sonic doesn't work for Sega anymore....didn't I read that somewhere?

He's have his own company now, Prope.
(Well Sonic had various creators, but Yuji Naka is the one that created the "speed" concept of the character)
The one that made Let's Tap.

PS: Please don't generalize the sonic fans not everyone is a teen furry fanatic. There are people who just love the 90s games and some recent gems like me.

I really don't think those that grew up with the 8 & 16 bit Sonic games are who Sega are targeting now, Sonic is now a character for young children, and young children are a lot less picky about their games, which is why 99.9% of shovelware is targeted at kids.

I really liked Sonic Adventure but didn't really rate any of the games after that.

I agree, awesome video! That is sad a Sega employee pedicted the Werehog, no wonder he got fired. Sonic 06 is one of the worse games of all time. The Sonic Rush series was great!

I loved Sonic Heroes. But you didn't like it?

Not really, it was one of the first games I got on Xbox but I ended up trading it in. I thought the levels were too long and the whole team thing didn't really work.

I also thought Sonic and the Secret Rings was pretty decent. But I haven't gotten Sonic and the Black Knight yet. That's because I'm waiting for a price drop.

Secret Rings was ok, but to me it has zero replay value, not once have I thought I'd like to play Secret Rings again, a far cry from Sonics heyday.

To me Sega is a company that used to release games I would rate between 8 to 10 out of 10 on a regular basis, to a company that releases games of no higher than a 7 to 7.5 out of 10, and that's their better titles, its pretty clear to me that Sega simply isn't a major player anymore.

Sega should leave their so called mascot alone for a while... but they won't due to the fact theres 2 sonic related games coming out in the near future and one actually looks a bit interesting... to say the least.

I liked Secret Rings, but Sonic Team just doesn't know how to make a good sonic game anymore. They just need to sit down and actually take their time. There's a reason why there's usually only one Mario game per console--because they put so much work into them! Although these new sonic games have boasted high production values, the gameplay is always hampered by some gimmick. I think that Sonic Team needs to give it a rest for awhile and take their time to make this next entry truely special or let some other team develope the next Sonic game.

It's sad when NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is the best thing that Sonic Team has ever done. It's brilliant, but it's not even a sonic game!
