Acer Aspire 4330
Processor: Genuine Intel(R)
CPU:575 @ 2.00GHz
RAM:2.00GB
OS:Windows Vista Home Basic SP1 32 bit

I can play some games that are also on 360, so I'm assuming I can play any new PC games. I'm not much of a PC gamer, but I do have at least 5 games.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Hey, you guys have really high-end systems. The PC I'm currently posting with is not a high-end PC by any means.

Brand: Home-Made
CPU: Genuine Intel Pentium II- 400Mhz
Memory: 128MB RAM
Graphic: ATI Radeon 7000 AGP (64 MB)
DirectX-Version: DirectX 8.0
OS: Windows Me

Apparently my PC is fairly old but I can do anything with it that I want. And it's good enough to browse the Internet and play a good round of Minesweeper.

I thought my PC was old, but it looks like you must not have gotten any viruses. If you did get a virus, it looks like your computer couldn't handle it.

I don't understand. Why should my computer not be able to handle a virus? I never had any problems with it. Don't just click on anything that interests you, be suspicious and you're fine.

Well, I purchased my laptop in mid 06, which should tell you everything you need to know about how outdated it is. I've been tucking money away to upgrade in a few months, though.

I don't know why everybody thinks that a computer is outdated after 3 years. You can do wordprocessing, make spreadsheets, create and edit databases, write your programs, browse the internet and so forth even with a Pentium 1 or Pentium 2 class system. And if you want to play games why not get a Wii?

I even have a 486/100Mhz Notebook running on Windows 95 that I use sometimes when I don't need the Internet so much.

Brand: Dell
Model: Inspiron 1420
Suck Quantity: Quite Great
Memory: 2GB Ram
Memory Vista needs to run efficiently: apparently more than 2GB Ram
3D card: popsicle stick with a tic-tac stapled to it (onboard 256meg shared crap)
Hjard Drive (Norse Hard Drive): 120 gig HD, 7200rpm i think
The most glorious aspect of it: I conned Dell support into sending it to me free due to an elaborately concocted tale and a bit of calculated fibbing about a previous insurance issue. It cost $0. The original Inspiron 600m (bought shortly after 2005 became a year) was $1000 or so.

300 GB of memory??? Whoa!

I think you mean hard drive space. But since it looks like it is new because it has Vista on it, then you probably have at least 2 GB of memory.

Model: Macbook (black) - I bought it like a month before they announced all the new macbooks would be metal like the Macbook Pros. SO ANGRY!
Processor: 2.4 GHz
Ram: 4 GB
Harddrive: 200 GB (and apparantly this is an actual 200 GB. My bro pretty filled his harddrive and his computer hasn't slown down at all. I always tried to keep half - 1/3rd my memory free with my PC or else it would chug-a-lug).
OSX: Leopard. I don't know the number. Is Snow Leopard worth upgrading to? I'm pretty content with Leopard, but ever so curious.

I don't really game on my computer much though. Well at least not NEW games.

To play games that aren't on the Wii.

And for all of you who have Mac's, get rid of it and buy Windows.

I was never interested in PC gaming, this might be the reason why I can live which such an old system.

@All: Yes, get rid of your Macs and give it to someone else. To me for example.

Ramandus, stop talking twoddle, what has a computer's specs got to do with how it will react when attacked? That's a software issue not a hardware one.

Omega, if your PC does what you want it to, then yes, it rocks!

And all you stinky mac owners, I blow raspberries at thee.

Rawr!

Toddr

It's a pentium 3 733mhz
I'm running XP
It's got 256 megs of ram.
I'm pretty sure it has a 106 gig hard drive.
It's got basically no video ram.

Nothing doing. There is nothing you could do that would convince me to give up my mac (except for giving me enough money to buy a new mac...)

Hey guys, I just had a great idea - the Internet doesn't have enough Mac vs. Windows threads, so let's start another!
