I am here to talk about the growing issue of Tom Nook and his mega corporation, Nookington's. The man is power hungry and must be stopped before society collapses under his oppressive heel. He has moved into every city in the world and is taking over with little struggle. Before we know it every single one of our hard earned bells will end up his pocket.

All other retailers have been forced under and fine upstanding sellers like Saharah the camel and Joan the boar are forced to walk miles between cities in hopes of making small sales. There is just no way for them to compete. Since Tom Nook sinks as low as forcing his own nephews into cheap child labor. There are even rumors of him buying out Shampoodle and incorporating into his super stores. There are no limits to how far he will go.

The effects on society are all too depressing. I met a crazy hobo on a bridge who lost his mind and was handing out pirate clothes. A roaming traveler named Wendell begging for food. Villagers in every city begging you to give them furniture or clothes. All broken and tired from fishing, digging, and shaking fruit off trees to earn bells just to line Tom Nook's deep pockets. Some have even turned to crime and shop at Crazy Redd's black market to save what little they have. If anyone trys to cheat the system are met by Nook's ruthless enforcer, Ressetti. There is no hope.

So I beg of you, stop shopping at Tom Nook's stores! They are tearing down society and ruining the lives of innocent people the world over. Throw a few extra bells to people that deserve it, like K.K. Slider, a man trying to spread music and love in these hard times. Shop at the Abel Sisters store. Keep these fine hard working people afloat and don't donate another bell to the fat and greedy Tom Nook. How much money does one man need? We will end up working for him and our freedom will be lost. Thank for reading this and please spread the word.........our future is at stake.

What is this? The prequel to the back story to the short story before Pendragon book 7, if so, well ... read the book, the future shall be grim

I feel I must support Mr Nook here. He is a much maligned personality. If you choose to engage him in conversation regularly he will eventually let down his facade of a hard boiled business man and tell you of his disappointed and bitter past. He may even appeal to you for comfort during the days he suffers from depression.

He will tell you of his youth and how he naively sought wealth and fame in the big city, and rejected the love of a poor, but gentle animal from his home village - not realizing she offered wealth beyond the material riches he craved. He will tell you how success in the big metropolis was denied him and how he returned, a broken man to his home town - only to find that it was too late to turn back the wheel of time and regain that which he had cast away so carelessly in his youth. He will also tell you how cruelly he is teased by his nephews, whom he tries so hard to educate in the ways of the world.

If you care to visit the Able Sisters fashion emporium on some other day, you may find a sad porcupine sitting at her sewing machine mulling over her past and regretting what might have been. This is Sable, and she and her sister Mabel will also relate to you the sad tale of how Tom Nook left their little town in his youth, and returned embittered by life many years later.

If you have a shred of humanity in your soul you will, like me, desperately hope that maybe one day Tom and Sable will fall into one another's arms and shed hot tears of relief that even in the evening of their life they may have some years to spend together, sitting on the beach, holding hands, and watching the sun set while Timmy and Tommy gain valuable experience minding Nookington's on their own, and Mabel copes cheerfully alone in the little dress shop.

For Mabel has a secret as yet untold. She knows that on a Saturday evening, after she has closed the shop, she will find a white and black hound dog, fresh from his regular gig at the Roost, gently strumming his guitar as he waits for her. They will wander through the trees under the stars and pause beside a sparkling waterfall. He will perch upon a rock and sing his K.K. Love Song for her, and sometimes when he plays Rockin' K.K., Mabel throws off her check apron to dance a funky jig. She has not forgotten her youthful past. She orders the carpets and wall furnishings for their little cottage from Saharah, who is able to sell her designs for less Bells than Tom Nook as she doesn't have his crippling overheads.

Please note that some of the above is extracted from the unpublished Chick Lit novel "Untold Secrets of Animal Crossing Wild World"

Still can't think of a better place to kill some time.
Playing Solatorobo and Pokemon White.
Waiting for Animal Crossing 3DS - it's taking forever.

Thirded. I heard rumors he's selling pirated Xbox 360s.
