@ReaderRagfish Dragon Quedt XI was the first revealed Switch game back in 2015 along side the other versions.

Since then it was released on PS4 and 3DS in Japan. Switch came out. It got localised on PS4 AND ported to PC...all before we see one pixel of the game on Switch.

They announced the game before they even knew it was doable.

@ReaderRagfish It's on UE4 too. I mean sure, DQ11 is built on 4.3 that predates Switch and the earliest version that does support Switch fully is 4.13 released in May 2017, and you could say the code is incompatible as that is something that was altered between the two versions.

Problerm is, a SquareEnix studio had a UE4 game ready to show at the January reveal, with Octopath, no doubt on a much older build. So the DQ studio is just biting their lip hoping we forget and ignore the blatantly obvious.

Dark Souls has more of a chance of coming out. At least we saw that running.

@ReaderRagfish X probably wont be localised ever. At the speed SquareEnix does ANYTHING, I'd be impressed if it doesn't take Nintendo funding it to make it happen, like with 7 and 8 on 3DS, and DQ Builders on Switch among other things.

...Seriously though, I loved that game back on the Wii...it was awesome. And yeah, I have the iOS version, but...the whole Mario x DQ thing was nice. Loved the Mario remixes. (wasn't really a fan of DQ)

Two of them, actually, the Wii version and the mobile one. lol
Yeah, I don't even think the PS4 one was localized. It's annoying...

Hopefully recreating a version in RPG Maker is possible. lol

@ReaderRagfish: Interesting, because it's my gateway as well! I intentionally don't know a lot about V (mainly to avoid plot spoilers), but I do know that many consider it to be one of the best DQ games. I recently picked up VIII as well, but it'll be some time before I start it.

Also, +1000 on the rant. My sentiments exactly.

In other news, I'm finally back home. I have the weekend to recover and catch up on house stuff, then it's back to the grind on Monday....

Yeah, I was sure a 3DS version would happen after the Wii game...nope...no Switch version either. sighs
Would've been nice to make our own boards and stuff, too...oh well.

I have been watching the Nanny on prime video (they removed it from netflix...)

Since they don't have the Latin American dub I've been watching it in English instead. It's been quite interesting.
