@ReaderRagfish Yeah I was thinking about it, and even with XP you can use scripting (or in MV's case, plug-ins), to make things work. Since the game is already a grid-based movement, I think it could work. So yeah, maybe I'll go with MV, and besides, like I said it's $23 now. lol

That's all fine and dandy, but wtf is Wild Card Toys?

Although having RPG Maker on consoles/handhelds is great, there's one problem I have about those versions....no importing. I'd like to use my own graphics/music and all that.

Yeah, basically you can import MP3s/WAVs for audio to use in your games, same can be said about graphics of any kind. For consoles, you're stuck with the presets...

I had tons of fun with it in the old games, using music from my favorite games as battle themes, and making extremely goofy boss battles. (I think this was in my teen years, lol) I had you fight stuff like the Sesame Street gang, a race made up of Pepsi cans, and other silly references like that. lol

Well yeah for obvious reasons, you can’t have people sharing around games with copyrighted music and graphics (and inappropriate pictures or recordings) on a console.

On PC, you're free to do whatever, if you're just doing it for fun, obviously. Which is what I'm going for, and I'm doing it, gonna wait till tomorrow, though.

As for Fortune Street, I think it's possible, I heard that making a board game with RPG Maker involves events. I know one thing from 2K/XP, I was very good at messing around with events. As for characters, no idea...will need help with sprites/graphics. I'll worry about that later once I figure out how to make the main game work. I just want to have my own personalized cast of favorite video game/anime characters.

I seriously wished they would a WarioWare DIY 2...as great as original one was, it had its limits. I kinda want a Rhythm Heaven DIY too, but...eh, we're better off with someone making a fan-made version of that on PC.

... Ugh, finally get to come home tomorrow evening. I love my family but dang, I've about reached my togetherness limit. X_X

Thankfully I'm the only one in the room right now, so DRAGON QUEST TIME!

Anyways, if I ever figure out how to recreate Fortune Street on MV whenever the Switch version hits, I can probably help out. Gotta see how everything will work out first.

Ugh! I remember that event. What’s worse is I had completely forgotten what to do for Manhandla. I did not succeed the first few times.

Had DIY allowed you to use the camera, it would've provably died within the first year.

It's one thing having people sharing games with poorly drawn genitalia in them, but a much much worse thing is having kids sharing pictures of themselves or their area to strangers on the internet, or having said strangers sharing inappropriate pics.

It's what happened with swapnote.

That was managed by hatena. Nintendo is much stricter with their user content.

@ThanosReXXX Another interview, this time on Monday. Requires a full DBS check, numeracy and literacy tests, assessments during the interview, then references obtained, health checks and good to go.

Gotta get by the interview first though

@Knuckles-Fajita Well, good luck with that, then. I just had a second interview yesterday, at a really big international IT reseller/wholesale company, for a new assignment, and they also suggested, that if I'm interested, there's even an option to halt my own activities and come work for them full time.
So, besides the interview, they also gave me something to go home with and think about...

Now I'm waiting for the result from an interview that they're having with another candidate today.
Gonna get a call on Monday to hear what they decided...

This job would be a new challenge for me, definitely. A Support Worker in the community. Kind of follows on from my grandmother being deputy manager of a care home and my community orientated activities.

I hope you get this job though, it sounds right up your street!

@ReaderRagfish: I just started the game and am not very far in yet. I think I'm about halfway through Uptaten Towers. It's definitely an interesting area!

Funny thing is that I almost lost because my second character was on his last few hearts, and not only the bosses, but the enemy characters were right on my butt..........I still got an A rank. xD

What's up with all those lonely Pokemon GO players as of late? There's literally a dozen of them every day.

@Knuckles-Fajita Yeah, I know about those emails. A lot of companies paint a pretty picture, and put up a front of being civil and all according to rules and agreements made, but in the end, the candidates that don't make it, simply don't interest them, and as such a quick, generic message suits them best.

I've had two lengthy interviews with them now, though. Both over an hour, and I like to think that over the years applying my trade, I've become a pretty good judge of character, and being able to read people. Online not so much, due to the missing intonations and facial expressions, but face to face, I'm almost always right, when guestimating something or someone.

As such, I am pretty confident that the call will come on Monday, but of course, I don't know what they have decided, especially since I've no idea who the other candidate is and what his qualities are. So, I've simply decided to let it go for now, because it's out of my hands: I've done my part, it's up to them now, if they either want to give me some assignments or a full time job, or if they decided to go with door number two instead.

No need for me to ruin my weekend by keeping that going around in my head all the time...
