I've noticed this in multiple Nintendo games, Use robotic voices for voice acting recently. And in some cases, it's rather offputting.
In Tomodachi Life, we hear them all the time, and it's understandable and fairly easy to get used to. I still think a simlish-like voice acting would have made more sense, but either doesn't really matter.
In Nintendo Land we have Monita, the robot who is the guide to the park. Once again, it's offputting at first that someone with a robotic voice is guiding you in Nintendo Land, but judging by Nintendo Other games, with little to no voice acting, I guess it is better than nothing.
Wii Party U also uses robotic voicing yet, it's only in small bits, in Gamepad Island. It's still strange, yet it doesn't matter too much.
Finally, there's Game and Wario that has several robotic voice acting clips that don't have their place at all. Not even in that funny/weird Warioware fashion. It just seems lazy and weird to not use voice acting, even from the Nintendo Treehouse, to use into the game.
What do you think of Nintendo's Voice Acting Habits. Should they hire people, do you find the charm in it? Please, speak out.
IDK Other M's voice acting was terrible. KI had good voice actors I just didn't like that it felt like a 4Kids dub. I don't mind the robot voices at least for the games you mentioned. It depends on what kind of game it is and who the characters are.
The cat's the only cat who knows where it's at.

In to tomodachi life the vocaloid system was the big selling point.
In the wiiu games with robotic voices, they use these because it is much easier to use computer generated voices for 3+ languages than paying 3+ voice actors.
