And the same can't be said for Halo and Gears of War?
I just said that at the end of my post. Most game sequels feel like minor upgrades to their previous versions. Notable exceptions include Wind Waker (which was a completely different take on Zelda), Twilight Princess (which added the Wolf form and Twilight Realm), and in some ways Skyward Sword (which focuses on 1:1 sword combat and flying).
I responded before you edited your post.
@shingi_70 Sorry, I was responding to tendo. I should've made it more clear.
Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Your responding to me or Tendo? like I said sony has a lot of software that bombs.
Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, God of War, LittleBigPlanet, inFamous all sold well enough to spawn series. Nintendo also has plenty of software that bombs, but no one mentions that.

You have to think about the budget sony's games are built on a bigger budget compared to Nintendos. Resisitence 3 was made on a over 10 million budget (including marketing) and its only hit 1 million in october.
Compare that to gears three that made 3 million in its first week and was considered disappointing.
Also Motorstrom apoclyspe failed hard. (though that was due to a bad launch time)
WAT!

Mine's frozen up only once, and I think it was when I was trying to delete a large file. Guess it's not uncommon. With that said, this is a question best asked on a Sony technical forum.

Gears 3 was a flop? How is 3 million in one week considered disappointing?

I noticed in your signature that you are planning on getting a Vita, but you don't have a PS3. What about the Vita and Xbox 360 appeals to you over the PS3?

My signature is a play on this video.
I still plan to get a vita but not until the revision.
I would want to get one but alot of stuff comes out next year that I want more and find more useful.
Also The biggest Reasons why I chose a Xbox/Handheld over a PS3 is services to use at home. Currently on my xbox I can. Netlfix Hulu Zune (Season passes for shows I like) (can start a video on my PC and finish on my xbox) UFC (I can buy pay-per view fights) ESPN3 (use this to keep up with the NBA/Tennis and MLS) Youtube (watching youtube from my phone with an optimized app and not a buggy browser) Fios HD (moving to an area with Fios and I can use my xbox as my TV box) Using the xbox as a U-verse box (won't but can)

So you mainly bought an Xbox 360 for the media functions? PS3 can do most of that stuff as well (Netflix, Hulu, MLB Season Pass). Do you not like Sony's 1st-party games? Just curious.

I got the Xbox for the games just over time my needs have changed. There are a few reasons would get a PS3.
Ni No Kuni Folklore Infamous uncharted Heavy rain
When I got my xbox it was when the PS3 was doing bad and the Xbox had some great games. Halo 3 Gears of War Lost Odyssey Blue Dragon Tales of Vesperia Castle crashers

Netlfix PS3 has this too Hulu PS3 has this too Zune (Season passes for shows I like) (can start a video on my PC and finish on my xbox) Overpriced crappy store, my opinion of course UFC (I can buy pay-per view fights) UFC is boring ESPN3 (use this to keep up with the NBA/Tennis and MLS) A lot of cable/internet providers don't support ESPN3, thus you can't watch it if it is not supported. I'm in that category Youtube (watching youtube from my phone with an optimized app and not a buggy browser) You watch it on your phone? So, why include it in a positive for XBOX 360? Fios HD (moving to an area with Fios and I can use my xbox as my TV box) Never heard of it Using the xbox as a U-verse box (won't but can) Never heard of it
For those it is possible for, I think owning all 3 systems is the best route, though Microsoft exclusives haven't interested me lately. I got Halo Reach to play with friends and it was a let down for me.

U-verse is AT&T's version of cable TV. It's decent, but it's not very popular compared to Comcast, Dish, Direct TV, etc.
Really? So it's not a nationwide thing? That's odd coming from Verizon. Well, some states have different cable providers like Time Warner, Cox (which is also an internet provider), etc. And here in Arizona we have a cell phone company called Cricket, while the eastern states have Metro PCS. So I guess not every company has to be nationwide.
