Yep, I totally remember that documentary about the magic war of 2XX4! They told of the magic, Lebanese warrior who knew magic and how they decimated the evil Terminator robots led by Joseph Stalin and Hitler. History has proven this many times before.
With Gold Gauntlets, Link is physically stronger than Chief (can lift enormous stone pillars.) With Magic Armor, Link is unvulnerable. And for the last, chief is the most generic, boring game character ever created.

Interesting theory, but Hylain technology doesn't advance fast enough to match Master Chief's before Hyrule's sun explodes and kills them all. If they established a capitalist society, I doubt they would last that long anyway.

They have made cameras, trains, complex facilites, gigant cannons that reach the sky and other misfitting stuff before. I guess they don't advance their technology simply because they don't need it right now. If something happened to their royal family or their magic, they would be forced to rely on technology to survive.
Humans advanced a lot in like 200 years... Hylians, being the smart creatures they are, wouldn't have any problem.

Aren't the Hookshot and the Spinner both pretty advanced pieces of tech for their respective time periods? Also, magic could be used to advance tech more quickly. You could set up scenarios that would be pretty much impossible until years into the future with magic.

Yeah, I'm sure they wouldn't need it, but imagine the look on Ganondorf's face if he had strolled through the Door of Time, only to be confronted by Link holding a machine gun.
Like you said, humans have come very far in the last 200 years, but I think two centuries would be nothing in the grand scope of the series's timeline. And all they have to show for it is a train.
