Being a huge fan of both David Lynch and Link's Awakening, I approve of the above statement.

Recognition of the need for a handheld VC of some sort?
In case anyone is not particularly interested in the main topic of handheld Zelda games, there are also many unseen early sketches and schematics in the last pages of this interview, taken from the earliest development of the very first Zelda game.

I'm surprised that no one raves over these interviews the way very few of us do. To me, a new Iwata Asks--particularly one with a wealth of new information about the development process behind some of Nintendo's greatest classics--is more exciting and newsworthy than just about anything in the world of gaming. Nonetheless, these get very little discussion, while everyone is instead raving about the latest inconsequential thing Reggie said. I am perplexed.
EDIT: But now we have it as a news item, so hooray, it's getting the attention it deserves.
I unfortunately don't usually notice when these are up, but I saw this linked on Google Reader. I find them really interesting myself. Not often we get such an informal look behind the scenes at how these guys work, especially the little guys (i.e. everyone but Miyamoto and Iwata).
We try to pick up on these when they get published, but they sometimes get lost along the way. I'm going through past news posts to see if we've got any that I can share with you guys. I'll let you know.
