Topic: Is Detective Conan A Good Game Series?

I saw a couple of detective conan games for the Gameboy a while back. Is Detective Conan a good game series? I'm assuming it's based on a anime as well. Going to look it up later~ Just had my curiosity~ 🤷‍♀️

Well there's never gonna be a 2nd time Detective Conan is mentioned on this forum so might as well try to have an opinion.

So back in the day I was a regular on the site that did fansubs of the anime, and their big project after a while was a fan translation for this DS game that also crossed over with another Japanese detective series I never expect to see mentioned here again. I didn't get far into it because DS emulation was too much for my laptop to handle apparently but the consensus is that it is a good game, so there is that. I heard one of the PS2 games is also good, the Wii game that actually came out in some English speaking countries, not so much. But since those games stand out, I assume the majority of them do not.

I would recommend the anime (or at least manga) but its length is...understandably a deal breaker (I mean to be fair, it is the rare anime I'd recommend even if you wanna bail on it after a while, its very episodic...mostly)

I remember first learning of the Detective Conan series, or as it's called here in the US Case Closed, from seeing it on Adult Swim back when Adult Swim would show blocks of Anime like Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist and others. It was always one of my favorite anime and I eventually ended up getting the first two seasons on DVD.

Did it ever get a DS release then? I know it's on Gameboy & Gameboy color but I didn't look into it extensively yet as for other platforms detective conan is also on~ 🤷‍♀️🤣

It's that good? Hmm okay I'll defently check it out then. The only thing I really watched on adult swim was Dragon Ball Super tbh~

I did find a full (as far as I know) list of Detective Conan games. This series is on a lot of systems.
