I have an uncontrollable desire. It's called buying too many games and not even playing all of them. Can somebody give me advice?

Easy. Stop buying games and beat the ones you have.

Great, now the "addiction" threads are going to become the new fad threads.

Yes most of the games I own are good. But,I own more then a 100 VC/WiiWare games,20-30 Wii retail/Gamecube games, and I own 8 video game systems. So,besides the games I preordered and buying Wii Sports Resort and Wii Motion Plus,I'm thinking about holding off buying anything else for awhile if I can.

This isn't an "addiction". You like to buy new games. A lot of people do.

This is an insult to those who have true psychological addictions.

you should sell the games that u don't play anymore, that way u can buy new games!......wait, that wouldn't help the problem :( (but it'll save ur wallet!)

yeah i just bought rayman 2 : the great escape for ps1 on the psn last night. i can say that gaming itself is addictive and for some odd reason, i can't let a good game pass me by. so i guess i am in the some boat as you. well mabey it really isnt an addiction but it sure feels like one.

That's not addiction, that's luck. You're able to buy games, when you want to. And you just want to alot, that's not really a problem, if you ask me.

You don't understand,I have an ADDICTION. An addiction means a compulsary desire which is what I have. I buy used games,as well as new games. Last night for example,I order Paper Mario:The Thousand Year Door and Luigi's Mansion. I buy a game at least every week. Yeah,it's that bad.
But,maybe it's a good thing in disguise. Oh,and addiction threads are the new fad. Hey,it's better then those ban threads! :P

You'll get over it when you run out of money.

Wow,thats bad and it's just been a few weeks after E3 I guess your best bet is to make a schedule and maybe sell all the worse games you have.

Buy the games for me instead, you will feel a whole lot better about giving rather than spending the money for yourself.

This is good

No I understand what you have, a desperate desire for attention, like you've already stated earlier. Claiming you have a true "addiction" to video games, comparable to those who physically suffer from their struggles with actual addictions, is just a stunt you've pulled so you can garner more of your needed "popularity" on this site.

It's an insult to those being medically treated for actual addictions. It's not cute, nor funny, and it would bring shame to this site if a new spring of fad threads such as this one mocked those who suffer from actual ailments.

If you really feel that you have an addiction or compulsive behavior, go talk to a psychologist. This forum is probably not the best place to get help.

No, that's when you go into withdrawal and/or debt. At least, that's what happens when I run out of money with which to buy games. I think it's perfectly possible that SuperSonic1990 DOES have a mild addiction to buying games. It can be characterized by an EXTREME weakness to buying, and a total lack of ability to say "no" even when you DON'T always have enough money.

And I warn you, that can be a HUGE drawback to working at a game store. Being surrounded by them all the time, always finding something new and interesting, and having a very hard time leaving a shift without a purchase in hand. So regardless of all the naysayers here, I understand you perfectly, SuperSonic1990.

I don't need a psychologist,I just need to learn how to control my desires. I'm not trying to insult anybody with physical addictions. I'm not trying to be popular. I was actually asking for advice, not to be hammerd by AlexSays [I still don't understand, but whatever]. I see what you mean, though I'll change the name of this topic to avoid controversey. But,this is ridiculous.
