As you can see by my avatar, I am a fan of the works of (or, what was) Hanna-Barbera Studios. So, what do you think of 'em? Discuss the shows, characters, voice actors whatever you want that's relavent to the topic title. Feel free to post anything that's relavent too.

So many classics in their vault. I gotta say my favorite is the Jetsons. I love that show. I recently picked up every season of the Flintstones at Big Lots for 3 dollars a season new.

I had a feeling Scooby Doo would be mentioned first. It had great shows. Shame Joe Ruby and Ken Spears (creators) left the series to form their own company. Some of the shows modeled after the series (e.g Josie & the Pussycats, Speed Buggy) were great too.

Scooby Dooby Doo! Where are you?
I love Scooby Doo, the animated series from 1969 onward.

Scooby Doo taught me that if I ever see a monster, I just have to pull on it's face and a normal person will be there! It helped me overcome my fear of monsters as a kid! Besides, Scooby Doo meets Johnny Bravo is the greatest episode of any show in the world.

Just let it happen.

Another good show is Jonny Quest. It's my favorite action cartoon. Far ahead of it's time when it first came out. Shame it was cancelled after one season due to being overbudget. The main theme is brilliant too.

Just off the top of my head, I always admired Doug Wiley's work on Johnny Quest.

They were an fantastic company. I have not seen an single bad show from them. R.I.P Hanna-Barbera, you were an amazing studio.

It's a shame that Cartoon Network Studio failed to live up to them.

@SSBF1999: Agreed. CN Studios had a few good shows but also a ton of bad shows (mostly from nowadays).

The only downside to the studio was that they cancelled most of their shows after only one season.

They made some classics alright!!! The Flintstones has got to be my fave. Loved that show as a kid. It was kinda like my generations Simpsons. Wacky Races was ace too!!!

What's this bit for again?

Magi

Captain Caveman
Superfriends
Swat Kats
Pirates of Dark Water
The Addams Family

Did anyone like Captain Planet and the Smurfs? Also, wasn't there some kind of post-apocalyptic world cartoon that had 2 or three main characters in it? One looked like a wookie and then there was a barbarian-conan-he man lookin dude and a chick.

I liked the Smurfs when I was little.

Captain Planet

@Magi - you mean The Herculoids? If not, then I'm sorry.

I remember the Superfriends quite well. Same for the Smurfs. They also did a Pac-Man cartoon. Anyone remember that one?
