The Banana Splits Adventure Hour was a good mix of animated shorts and live action segments.

I'm sorry, but I hate Hanna Barbera. They've got some good shows, but 90% of their stuff was just rip-offs of their other shows. It's all the same, but with different animals. Just not a very creative bunch.

@Kid_A: Blame Scooby Doo, Where Are You! for most of the ripoffs.

yes! That soooo looked like it could have been a Hanna Barbera cartoon...but wasn't.

I don't think it means sex and swearing, more just targeted at a more mature audience

The true Hanna-Barbera masterpiece is Tom & Jerry!

Wow, Trin. I'd either completely forgotten T&J were Hanna-Barbera, or never realized it. MGM and Fred Quimby were the names that always came to mind. Tom & Jerry > [else]

The Smurfs were the best Hannah-Barbera cartoon by far!

Yeah, for some reason things like the Flintstones are always associated with HB, but Tom & Jerry doesn't feel like a HB cartoon - probably because it's better than the other HB series.

I see a few of my favorites listed here (Why do they always go for Scooby? XP). I also liked Dynomutt, Hong Kong Phooey, Huckleberry Hound, Dastardly And Muttley In Their Flying Machines...

Tom and Jerry were Hanna and Barbera's first cartoons together. The shorts won them quite a few academy awards. They were even executives over MGM's animation studio whenever Quimby left until it was shut down in the '50's.

I can't believe that it took so long for Tom and Jerry to get a mention.

Best cartoon ever. And the beat-em-up on the N64 was a highly underrated classic that I hope gets a VC release.

Tom & Jerry. I remember watching so many of their cartoons. I have the Game Boy Color game Tom & Jerry: Mouse Hunt.

Oh, I also remember Wacky Races and Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines.

Betcha can't name all these characters without cheating.
