I have one, but I never used it. I can't be bothered to really update all those social networks. It's the same with Twitter, I don't get why people like posting on it like, every hour.
yes. i use it to chat with my friends, to keep in touch with my folks while i'm at college, keep up with what's going on with friends i've known since i was little but have since moved away from, or just so that people can get a hold of me if they need me. of course that last one is mainly because i don't have a cellphone...
facebook isn't a bad thing, and it's not a waste of time or a just cry for attention, it can be used that way, but really, it's just like having an email, except you can talk to all your friends at once if you want to and you can see what's going on in their lives.

i have it. i like it for event invitations (though from actual friends, not from groups). Now that I've hidden every notification from every stupid facebook spam-ad spewing game that's out until tomorrow's new cashinstravaganza, I'm enjoying it again.
It's great to keep in touch with friends, but I'm annoyed by all the additional stuff on there. It's just too cluttered now, I think.

It's really kinda pointless but i use it to chat with my friends and family. almost all of them has a facebook account. other than that, it's ridiculous. and i hate it when people play games such as farms and pets yuck! but that's just me.

Yes. I use it to play Bejeweled Blitz and Tetris Friends when I need a break from doing work (I do freelance internet writing and editing on the side). Once a year or so, I might actually post something.

I was forced to get one once because of a raffle once and everybody was being a dick because I didn't want to make one. Then they were dicks because I didn't use my real name. Deleted the account immediately after the raffle was over. My school didn't win the money anyways.

My network of friends and acquaintances covers the entire country, so it's a useful and easy way of staying in touch with everyone, and what everyone's up to. It's also great for self promotion, if you have something you need to promote.
