Topic: Best/Worst looking Nintendo console...

Of all Nintendo's (home) consoles, which do you think is the best/worst looking (design wise)?

My vote goes to the N64 as best looking...
...and Japan's NES2 (Famicom AV) as the worst.

That's an easy one. The Wii is the best looking and the Gamecube is the worst.

The purple GameCube.

I think it's the Wii. White and sleek. The DSi is a close second.

Each Nintendo console has looked better than the previous one, including the redesigns of the NES and SNES.

It's the Virtual Boy.

This. To me the Gamecube is really just hideous.

I don't label it portable, but Nintendo did, so I just go along with it so as to save them some embarrassment.

I consider the Wii the best looking because of it's minimalist approach. The next best would be the N64, then the NES, then the Gamecube, then the Super NES.

@MrPinguy: lol, Adam was just making a joke. I wouldn't call that thing 'portable' either, i mean you had to stand it on a table for crying out loud. D:

Wii looks the best, especially in black. Minimalistic and sleek.
The GameCube looks OK in black or silver, but purple makes it look like a kids toy, and the huge handle doesn't help either. I never really liked the look of the N64, it looks like a prototype that they never refined to me.

I loved that goofy handle. I would bring my Cube to a friend's house fairly often, and I tend to move my console around at home a lot, too. Sometimes I want it in my bedroom, sometimes I want it on the bigger TV. Makes it easier to carry the console, wires, and controllers at once.

The GameCube was hideous looking. The Wii looks EXACTLY like the ugly old external HP CD-rewriters in the mid to late '90s. The ones that didn't even use USB to connect to a PC because USB wasn't even standard yet. They have since gone the way of the floppy disk drive. I dug my old rewriter out and compared to my Wii and they are practically identical. Same size, shape, and color. Both pretty much ugly white rectangles. The only visual differences for the Wii is that it stands vertically, is a bit more shiny, and the disc drive's LED light. The black Wii makes the console look stylish though. My white Wii just looks like that obsolete piece of crap CD-rewriter from the 90s which is pretty funny.

Best looking in terms of design: That's pretty hard to say... probably the GC.
