Eel

It obviously means "Western Eastern Time".

It's for the people who live in the west of the east.

Yeah, Javascript will cause the dates to be displayed in your computers local timezone. I can't say I've checked every single one though... WET would be Western European Time as the guys say.

As you should be able to infer from my signature, I know time zones, including UTC offsets. My time zone is not WET, and you can see I've even listed my time zone as CET (CEST when DST is in effect).

I cannot understand why Nintendo Life has a feature when it doesn't work. If it has to list events in users' local time, it should perhaps use the time zones from users' website accounts. I have input "+02:00 - Central European Time", even though that is incorrect, but there is no correct option in the settings.

The website team need to learn about time zones. CET is not UTC+2, but UTC+1. CEST, however, is UTC+2.

Can you fix this?

What makes this even stranger, is that you have listed the correct UTC offsets in user settings for EST, CST, MST, and PST in USA, but not for Europe.

You have even listed
+00:00 UK/GB/Eire
+01:00 Eastern European Time
in user settings, when in fact they're actually the same UTC+0 offset. Wow.

Come on! How can you have this in settings when it has so many errors. It's simply embarrassing. Why is time zones so difficult to understand? It's addition and subtraction. You learn it in school when you're 7.
