Honestly, what's so "annoyihng" about it? Scrolling? We already do that when reading various posts or if a single post is a big big, anyway. Besides, it's not a waste of space or pointless, it's creative expression. You guys should really lthink about some of the positives here instead of narrowing it down with negatives that can always be adjusted. Just look at Miiverse on Wii U... Posted: Sat 22nd Dec 2012 00:11 GMT The simple fact is that most people on Nintendolife don't seem to want image signatures, myself included. @LJM pointed it out pretty clearly; other threads that do it don't have the same kind of clean ascetic. This isn't something I'm indifferent to; it's something I explicitly do not want. Keep it the way it is. I see the positives; it's just that I feel the negatives greatly outweigh them.

That place is a visual mess as-is, it's even worse when half the users seems to have a bunch of clashing images in their signatures, many of which extend outside their comment box. It's a travesty. They aren't in your face the whole time you're trying to read the posts. They are little squares on the left hand side and serve a worthy purpose; they let you identify who the heck is talking very, very quickly. Avatars have a purpose, with few negatives. Image signatures have no purpose. They just slow down loading, and make the page twice as long. Plus, I find 90% of the images people choose for their signitures to be pointless. Most people just post pictures of popular crap, which doesn't show their originality at all. Oh, yes, and 10% of signatures will contain Fluttershy or something equally annoying, You don't want that, trust me.

I honestly can't understand why people want image signatures. Why do you want to distract people from your actual posts? Because that's all they ever do. Ever.
