I don't know what their source is, but it would make sense for them to react to Sony's online store for PSP Go.

What do you think of this change? Though a lot of stuff isn't listed, like what Nintendo charges now per sale and, if this is true, what the heck is the actual DSiWare cap is their enticement is under 20MB, which is what I thought that MAX size was.
Either of which sounds pretty pathetic compared to Sony's Mini apps which have a 100MB size cap. (Wink wink Nintendo, why the hell aren't you letting devs use the SD card? The benefits far outweighs the negative)

I personally don't see it doing much other then the DSi getting a flood of simple puzzle games and Iphone like apps (which might not be a bad thing)

Just take it step by step and maybe Nintendo will reach the point of using SD cards

I'm not sure if I should download MvsDK because then i have too less space for future games... an SD Menu would be awesome.

To be honest, with soooo many retail DS titles being able to fit on DS cart around 16MB and 32MB im sure devs dont need to work within the same limits of the PSP where they are used to working on UMD's that hold so much more. So trying to keep within 20MB sounds reasonable. But I do wonder how much the highest limit would be... 32MB, 64MB I dont really know but I wouldnt imagine they would need much more for indie DS titles.

the only way Nintendo will listen to us (the consumers) about the SD card support (an actual support) is when we demand it...even more so if the sales drop. Now,if only we could get to rid ourselves Nintendofanboys/girls... just kidding!

SD card menu right on one of the spaces to put apps like flipnote studio would be great

BooNelson - That would be perfect. It doesn't matter so much on the wii, because you switch screens anyway since not everything fits on one screen, but I think this would be perfect for DSi.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

Slapshot

1. Im glad Nintendo is not just sitting on their high horse and not even respond to Sonys Minis system. Yes DSiWare has some good games but its nowhere near the 50 games deep that PSP Minis will be by Dec of this year.
2. Im also glad they lightened up their rules/regulations somewhat to hope to inspire devs to develop more on the DSi but Im still not sure if its enough when the PSP and iPhone has Way more freedom and can be sold a LOT cheaper and more expansive price ranges.
3. DSiWare is not 800+ points and PSP Minis is up to $5 USD. So PSP is stayin on the cheap side and DSi gets more expensive. Not good Nintendo. We already saw you make up pay 800 points for Asphalt 4 and the iPhone got it for .99 USD. Are you goin to pull this with PSP/DSi games Nintendo?
4. I really hope Nintendo gets it together real quick. The iPhone is ruling this market with an INSANE amout of apps/games sold and now PSP is jumping on board and LOTS of iPhone devs are already developing on the PSP and DSiWare has been out for months and SOMETHING is obviously making them NOT want to dev on DSi? I think this is a possibility of a make or break for DSi.
5. Is this the last straw that may force a DSi VC out of Nintendo? If it is Im not goin to complain a bit, because in Retro backlogs. Only PSP can pull out great games and is doing so, BUT a NINTENDO VC would really give PSP Minis/PSone Classics some competition.
