For HeartGold and SoulSilver i am planning this team:
Togekiss (Normal/Flying) Feraligatr (Water) Arcanine or Ninetales (Fire) (If they keep the same version exclusives it depends which version you play) Ampharos (Electric) Vileplume (Grass/Poison) Mamoswine (Ice/Ground)
It really depends on how much they are gonna change when it comes to version exclusives and stuff as well as the pokémon habitats. But based upon the GBC version, this seems a possibility. The inclusion of Togekiss in the 4th generation makes Togepi/Togetic actually worth raising. Togekiss has massive special defense so I'm gonna keep the Togepi that hatches from the egg given to you in Violet City on my team this time around. All I ever used Togetic for in the original games was HM's, but now it evolves in one of the best in the wide variety of Normal/Flying types.
Rensch, you're a Pokefan after my own heart. You already have your HeartGold/SoulSilver team planned. I did that right after the games were confirmed for remake. If anyone cares for mine (SoulSilver, by the way): Typhlosion Espeon Kingdra Scizor (Favorite Gen II Pokemon) Crobat Tyrannitar For some reason, I limit myself to only using Pokemon introduced that generation, and I have to have every move type represented in my Pokemon team's move lists.

I may change my team up a bit after the main quest though. Tyranitar is a pokémon that fits on every team nicely but its not available until you're pretty much at the very end of the game. And even then you need to level it up from Larvitar and Pupitar. The team I posted is just a basic team I'm planning to use for the main Johto quest.
Would be cool if you could get Larvitar earlier. Mt. Mortar would be a good idea for a Larvitar habitat. I'd definitely put it on my team then.
That was my old Crystal team (except that I got Graveler and Machoke), yet I plan to switch Machamp with Poliwrath (as I planned back then) when I get Soul.
My team for White 2 is Charizard lv 100, Shaymin lv 100, Latias lv 100, Empoleon lv 74, Serperior lv 100, and Keldeo lv. 89. All but Keldeo and Serperior are shiny.
On my Black I have Emboar lv 89, Reshiram lv 65, Hydreigon lv. 100, Zekrom lv 100, Jolteon lv 99, and Zoroark lv. 49.
And finally my Heartgold team... Still soft reset to get a shiny starter since there's really no point in playing 4th gen games execpt to transfer shinies and legendaries or legendary shinies...
It's been a long while since I've looked at my copies of SoulSilver and Diamond (which also has all of my Pokemon from the Gen. III games), but my team in White consists of Emboar, Samurott, Simisage, Krookodile, Reuniclus and Galvantula.
