Topic: Does Flipnote Studio phase My Notebook out?

I was wondering if Nintendo's Flipnote Studio app would take away any desire to purchase Nooo's upcoming app, My Notebook. i mean think about it, FS is free vs. 200 points for MN. You can hold thousands of pages in FS vs. like 30 or so with MN. FS actually has a purpose beyond note taking vs MN only has that one objective. FS has an awesome online community for people to share their creations with each other vs. MN which has nothing of the kind. And did I mention Flipnote is FREE!! Really the only thing My Notebook has over Flipnote is a few more colors, but is that really worth 200 points for a few new colors?? Unless there is some great feature in My Notebook that I'm unaware of, I don't see it being worth 200 points. just a thought. Any opinions?

I don't find Flipnote a practical note taking tool.

Yeah there's a calander and you can write notes on page, but with Nnooo's notebook, you just run the app, scribble, next page, scribble, quit and your done. Flipnote doesn't automatically save either.

Plus.. Like you said, Flipnote is free, and Notebook is $2... You can't really go wrong with having both.

Good point. Well, actually, I've been using FS for taking notes (I used the camera app before) and for the calendar more than animation. I've been thinking about dressing it a little bit, so it looks like a notebook or something, but I'm not that good at drawing.

I'm pretty sure somebody out there have done it. If you find something, please tell me.

I was going to wait for review on My Notebook, but considering how well Flipnote Studio is doing, My Notebook will be forgotten. And did somebody said you can make thousands of pages? Awesome!

Hey, I want to let you know that searching for "notebook" on the Hatena site brought me this:

Looks like just what I needed! Looks like it's just lacking a color (green) from My Notebook. Notice how the lines are cleaner in FS.

EDIT: Learning how to embed flipnotes.

Well the thing is most people don't realize flipnote can be used just for notes because of animation. But I think the sort of person who consider getting it even without flipnote will still get it. I know I am.

I completely agree with bboy2970. But I am also sure most of the people wont resist the hype, clearing the last 200 points from their accounts and/or finding more practical MyNotebook (Casual gamers might not even realize the facts bboy2970 posted)

Is MyNotebook slated for release in the U.S. under dsiware or no? I would love to see a note taking app, even if they created a new one for us with more features, I would pay up to 800 pts for such an app since I'm a huge note-taker, but it's gonna need to hold more than 30 pages and do more than just save a note.

I've been looking forward to the app as well. I've have a PalmPDA that's coming to the end of it's life. I used to carry it around with me all the time, but more and more, all I take with me is my DSi The Notebook app would be great for me, because I'm always needing to jot down notes and stuff.
I would think they're still going to release it. After all, I'm sure it was in the works even though Flipnotes was already out in Japan.

Their website hasn't really changed at all since it was first announced.
