At the moment, sadly no. Our agreement with Disney is just for Duck Tales in its new form. It does not allow us to rerelease these other projects on new platforms.
Sorry.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
I suppose if Kemco really wanted to rerelease those, they could just find another license.
Reskinning games was practically standard procedure for them back in the days.
(the first two Crazy Castle games were released in Japan with Mickey Mouse, but even they got the Bugs Bunny versions for a late multi-cart rerelease.)
I'm thinking if the new Duck Tales sells well, they will change their mind about re-releasing the original on the VC. If anything though, we should be getting the Sega Castle of Illusion game in some form.

Yes, because Powers of Illusion was such a sucess, thus proving people still care about that series.
...for the record, that was sarcasm. Power of Illusion bombed (roughly 200,000 units), they disbanded the team that made it, and I think it's safe to say that as far as Disney's concerned, there's proof that there aren't enough fans of that series to make a VC release worth their time. Yes, time.
I just find it hard to believe we'll see anymore licensed games on VC, let alone the Illusion games.

It was rated by a Brazilian ratings board in early March, which is after Powers of Illusion was considered a failure. It may not be a straight VC release, maybe it will be on a compilation. It's not a guarantee of course, but the fact it was rated is a good sign it's gonna come out.
Not to mention that Power of Illusion was kind of... a mediocre game from what I hear whereas the actual Illusion games back on the Mega Drive/Genesis are seen as classics. I think a game with a good reputation ought to outsell one with bad reviews, right?
