I thought of that, but it would just be a testament to his own illiteracy, so I don't care.

Alright folks, here's the email I just sent to Nintendo of America.

"In the beginning, Nintendo gave a release window of August for Flipnote Studio 3D in North America. Then, after a release in Japan, the Flipnote 3D service became SO popular that it overloaded the online servers for the program. Nintendo announces that this will cause a delay in the release for the European region. Nintendo gave no word regarding the NA release so we NA consumers were still under the impression that August was the release window. Then Nintendo changes the window and promises that Flipnote Studio 3D will be out in the Summer.

It is now the beginning of Autumn and not only has there been no release, but there hasn't even been a word, a reason, an explanation as to why this delay is becoming even more delayed and the worst part is, that it's so silent. This is not a good example of Public Relations.

To copy a reply regarding this issue from a, Marceline Grey: "I'm happy to report that Flipnote Studio 3D for the Nintendo 3DS will be available as a free download via the Nintendo eShop sometime this summer!"

That reply was given in August. The North American consumers of this product are getting restless because we're not getting any info whatsoever. At least Europe was told there would be a delay, North America wasn't told anything, the delay is just happening with no official statement of why.

In the wake of the late Hiroshi Yamauchi I must recall something that he did in the beginnings of Nintendo. When the Famicoms were first released in Japan, the company (Nintendo) realized there was a great defect in the entire first production line of consoles that was just sold to the masses. Did Mr Yamauchi allow Nintendo to brush it off and hope for the best? No, he took full responsibility and had Nintendo recall all of the consoles at a cost to the company, NOT the consumer because he said, "The companies reputation is more important than profit."

In regards to this lack of info regarding a release of Flipnote Studio 3D in North America, I'd say that Nintendo's reputation is being risked simply because no one will approach the North American market and at least tell us what is happening. It looks like Nintendo is just brushing the issue off and hoping for the best."

I encourage anyone else that is frustrated with Nintendo's lack of communication to send them the same kind of message. I'll post the reply when I get it! Good luck fellow Flipnote fans!

And the response will be "We have nothing to announce at this time". As with all posts from customer service, they will never give you any information beyond what is officially announced otherwise.

And I hardly consider this a "risk" for NIntendo's reputation since they delay stuff all the time anyway

Well I expect that generic reply from them however, the purpose of my email is to show dissatisfaction with their lack of communication. I don't expect immediate results. But if enough people show irritation with this lack of communication on this, then perhaps they will at least say something.

You're right, they do delay things all the time, but they usually tell the public of the region they're delaying that "hey, this is being delayed." The issue here is that NA was told early August, then late August, then Summer with no word about a delay. Just stating that "It will be released in August" or "It will be released in the Summer" This is issue that I'm messaging them about.

I'm not expecting a release date to be announced, I'm hoping that they will finally say to NA "There is actually a delay and we don't actually have a release window at all." This would be much better than leading the public on with ever extending release windows. It's this lack of communication that effects Nintendo's reputation to consumers. It's not a delay, it's a lack of communication.

well, i finally got my reply from customer service. here it is.

"Thanks for writing and for your patience as our response has been delayed. While I was unable to find a record of your previous contacts with us, I can certainly understand your interest in this wonderful application. I apologize for any miscommunication that may have occurred during your previous contacts with us and want to explain that any posted release dates for games and applications are always estimates and may be subject to change. Rest assured that your feedback will be documented and added to our records.

In answer to your question, I can confirm that, at this time, Flipnote Studio 3D for the Nintendo 3DS does not have a specific release date. To learn more about this upcoming application, as well as the new Flipnote Studio 3D service, please visit our website (www.nintendo.com). I've included a direct link below:

Eventually, we will pull back the curtain and share all new and exciting details on our website (www.nintendo.com). In the meantime, however, we appreciate your patience as development continues and ask that you continue checking the website."

apparently not, because according to past customer service emails, not even they know when the game is being released. people here really go their hopes up TWICE on this thread before finding out the truth.

Firstly, thanks TheOneHacker for posting your reply. It seems Nintendo is giving us the straight truth now. That's better than nothing. Here's my reply.

"Hello,

Thank you for your patience while waiting for a response and for contacting us with your concerns. I want you to know how much we appreciate your strong desire to see Nintendo continue to be successful, and I can understand your interest in learning when Flipnote Studio 3D will be released.

At this time, Flipnote Studio 3D for the Nintendo 3DS systems does not have a specific release date. I'm unable to say why this application doesn't have an official release date here in the Americas, as these type of development decisions aren't shared with us. I know this may not be what you're hoping to hear, but I'll be sure to forward your comments to the other departments here at Nintendo. Your comments help us to understand what is important to our dedicated gamers.

Once Flipnote Studio 3D has a release date, the information will be available on the official website (http://flipnotestudio3d.nintendo.com). In the meantime, we appreciate your patience as development continues and ask that you continue checking the website. It's important to note that any posted release dates are estimates and subject to change.

I noticed that you've been writing in about Flipnote Studio 3D quite frequently. I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm any, but since we don't currently have any additional information that we can provide you about Flipnote Studio 3D, and additional emails on this topics may not be met with a reply. We thank you for your understanding."

So there you have it friends, Nintendo doesn't have a release window anymore. It's official now.

Oh and yes, Nintendo did tell me "Quit emailing us this question or we won't reply to your emails anymore." HAHA lol... I've only emailed them one other time regarding this, and that email is available for all to see earlier in this thread. LOL I guess I'm a marked man now. >.>

@Retrowire HAHAHAHAH. That's funny and messed up at the same time. Just shows how many people want Flipnote 3D and sent emails to Nintendo about it. I BET Flipnote 3D will release on the same day Miivers 3D comes....
