Would you like to see trophies for the 3DS or Wii U?

I don't really care. If there were I'd probably try to get them because of the completionist that lurks inside me but most of them don't add to the fun, just require repititive actions or completing stuff.
They are for bragging, and that's why they're a hit among gamers. At least that's how I see it.
For me I would like to see achievements/ trophies for the Wii u. No bronze/silver/gold or points system just your current achievement for the game out of the total. Maybe a highlight over the game if you got everything. Achievements to me just add a small bit to the game for me.
It is possible for Nintendo to add them to the system later just like Sony did with the PS3.

Aren't in-game achievements enough? I don't see the need to show them to the world beyond what I already said, bragging.
I've gotten trophies 10 minutes into some games without doing anything but watching a cutscene. Kind of silly sometimes. But, eh, I can live with or without them. I'm more about all the in-game collectibles than collecting trophies. I can see why people would like them, though.
I've said this time and time again, but for me the benefit of achievements/trophies is not to brag and say "hey, look at this super rare thing I did." I use it more to compare where people are at in a game and what kinds of games they like. Quite often, I'll go on to someone's Xbox profile and just look at their achievements. Based on what games they have completed the most, I can get an idea of what games and types of games this individual likes. Also, if a friend is playing the same game as me, I like to use storyline-based achievements to gauge where the person is at as compared to me.
Really, people who aren't used to or don't care about achievements seem to have a really narrow view of them, but there really are a lot of uses for them. (Although, I will agree that the people that pointlessly pursue 100% on all their games just to have it show on their profile kind of annoy me.)
Honestly, if Nintendo would just add a standardized API for developers to be able to output to friends where they're currently at in a game and also allowed certain info about what games you play (such as number of hours) to be used by third party websites (I use Raptr and Playfire a lot), then I would be happy.
I think if they will do trophies they will have the same system as achievements in which you get points or possibly earn Nintendo club points.

I wouldn't mind seeing an achievement type system. Specially if there for more tougher things to do within the game so they are actually an achievement and not just for watching a cutscene or completing a tutorial.
I'd rather studios have the choice of whether or not they include achievements, accomplishments, trophies or what have you. This is simply because I don't like the idea of a little message popping up with every game I play. Also, I appreciate when such messages are associated with unlocking something.
I only like achievements when they are done right for instance completing a chapter is not an achievement its me playing a game i bought
however finding a secret area or collecting all collectibles then ill get a little "love yeah i did find that spot and collect those things"
