I might set it to full 3D, and then only reduce it if necessary.

I guess somewhere between the midpoint and high point. Not sure, have to see the 3D effects myself before I decide.

Maximum setting all the way, baby!

And if I start getting a headache or something I'll lower it.

I preferred it at about 3/4. Except with Starfox and that one looked great at full blast. :)

i'm sure for just about everyone, it will depend on the game. some games will be far better with it turned up, and some games will be best flattened. it'll vary more game-to-game, than person-to-person once it gets down to it, I would think.

I thought the point was that since everyone's eyes are differently spaced, everyone will have a preferred setting of that slider dependent upon how far their eyes are from each other and how far they prefer to hold the 3DS from them.

I think it will depend on how and when I'm playing. If I'm lying in bed, I might just have it off, but it depends.

Why is KaiserGX using the same giant smilie over and over and over? Unless it's to purposely kill whatever meme it is, can you please stop?

Last time I use it, promise. First time I've seen that smiley and got addicted to it. I saw it in a thread of Epic Yarn that says, "WE DID IT WE GOT THE MAGIC YARN!" and it had that smiley.
