Topic: Tetris Ultimate

Yeah it is 29.99 in US. Our eshops are the same. I was actually debating getting it, but 30 isnt worth it to me. I been asking around, but i dont think anyone in great numbers was looking forward to the game and kept up on news.

Well, often our prices are higher on the Canadian eShop, and you have at least two things on the US eShop that we don't have. At least if they goofed up the price on both eShops they should be quicker to fix it I hope. Wasn't planning to buy it today because of Remembrance Day anyway, but I hope it gets fixed by the Thursday update at least.

Oh, ok. Yeah I hope so as well! I'm sure they have quite a few sales riding on the discounted eshop price. I wish us luck lol

Uh oh, someone just told me on another site that the price is not a mistake, but they don't know why it differs from what we were previously told. Maybe the initial press release announcing the lower eShop price was all a mistake? This game is not going to sell at $30 on the eShop when Tetris Axis is only $10 on the eShop — don't know what they're thinking.

Well, that's a major bummer. I kinda doubt we will ever know. Thanks for the update. Yeah you are right. I wanted Ultimate for the customization and online stuff, so I waited out and didn't get Axis, but now the desire to have it at all kinda died, so I prob wont even get Axis.

Just wait for it to inevitably go on sale I guess.

Haha, oh yeah! Its going to have to go on sale. Is there a way the eshop can notify you if it does?

I don't think so, but it would be handy. I just check what's in the price drops section of the eShop with every Thursday update.

I don't understand the appeal of console (more home consoles, but this somewhat applies to handhelds too) Tetris games at all. Don't get me wrong, I love Tetris. But when tetrisfriends.com exists with tons of really fun ways to play AND online, I just don't see a point to paying real money.

I always had problems with the game momentarily stuttering on Tetris Friends. Tetris on a device dedicated to playing video games is worth paying for in my mind, and we've got to support the Tetris Company somehow if we expect to continue getting new Tetris games. But yeah, paying $30 for a simple game like Tetris in this era is a bit ridiculous.

Supposedly this is now $19.99 on the US eShop. Still showing $29.99 on the Canadian eShop.
