My 3DS crashes every few minutes ever since the last update. The update kept stalling, so I'd turn it off. Eventually it worked, but apparently that messed something up along the way. I probably need to reformat, but I have a lot of downloads. Now that your Nintendo Network ID is linked to the system, does that mean my games are recoverable? I know it used to be that everything was just tied to the console, and if you reformatted, that was it. I'm hoping the NNID changes this, but I can't find much information on it. Anyone able to elucidate? Thanks.
as far as I know it isn't recoverable because the games are now tied to both the NNID and the Console so if either is gone(the 3DS' data or the NNID) the games are gone too
it's as if all they did was prepare the 3DS to switch completely to a NNID system in a future update

I called Nintendo today and was told that after a reformat all I would need to do is relink my NNID and my games would be listed under "Your Downloads" on the eShop.
Unfortunately for me, reformatting didn't fix my problem, so I haven't gotten the chance to verify this. System crashed in the shop.
Anyway, that concludes my business in this thread. Thanks anyway, guys!
