Well, I can't argue with that. Nintendo does actually try to take into account what the consumers want, like Ocarina of Time 3D was a tech demo until we said we would like to play it. So yeah, I think you're right that Nintendo could find a way to make it work.
Like others have said, I really doubt the rebranding is true, let alone a new handheld.
If Nintendo does release a second circle pad for compatible games I would understand that way more than these rumors. However, the idea for an add-on circle pad is weird too.
