I haven't really gotten anyone on streetpass and all yet, but I was wondering, say if I run Street Fighter for Streetpass, put it in sleepmode.
Sure, this will mean I can get those figurine battles, but what about Mii Plaza stuff? Will that be activated too? Or does only one streetpass game stay activated?
I really wanna go out for a walk, but I dunno what to activate, Street Fighter or Mii Plaza, lol. Or do both run at the same time? Someone please help clear the confusion if you have two 3DS's or something!

From the old videos, it would seem that you don't even need to have the game inserted into the 3DS for the console to use its streetpass information, but i don't have a 3DS yet (or a game for it) so just ignore anything i said and wait for a better answer.
All I know is that apparently streetfighter streetpass only works if the game is running :S

All StreetPass compatible software will work regardless of the game being in the slot or not. You can check all your active StreetPass programs under System Settings. I believe for every piece of software you must specifically tell it to activate StreetPass then it will automatically save a small bit of data to the system so it can work independently from the game.
first streetpass works if your system is in standby e.g. cover shut
second you dont need game in the slot , streetpass is built into 3DS so if u got savegame of say RR3D and its activated for streetpass you get ghost data even if you dont got the game in slot
thirdly you can only have 12 games parallel activated for streetpass so say if your first game was Mii Plaza and you get a 13. activation , Mii plaza will get deleted from the activation list in system settings, so u have to reactivate it or delete activations before the 12 game mark
@Stereoman, I'm not sure you've got the last bit right. You can only have streetpass active for a certain number of games at a time (not sure of the figure, but 12 doesn't sound wrong). If you want to activate it for a new game when you already have 12, you can and it will deactivate the least recently used one, or you can go into the manage data part of the system settings and manually deactivate whichever one you choose yourself.
There is also a limit to the number of hits you can get for a game before you have to go into that game and process them. The limit seems to be 10 (for MiiPlaza and Lego Star Wars, at least).
Also, not sure if this was answered (or asked), but you can get hits on multiple games from the same person at the same time. My son has Mii Plaza and Lego SW activated and when it hits for us, it does both at the same time.

Well thats exactly what i wrote DiggerDan !!! Ok obviously it wasnt so good understandable :/ Plus the 12 games cap for streetpass IS in the manual. To all here .... manual reading helps alot especially if they are like 200 pages hope DiggerDan made it more comprehensible
i only have nintendogs at the moment. there is an option in the game where you take your dog for a walk by walking in real life. if i do this, will i be able to hit other players through streetpass? because i am not really in standby but it is kinda the same but no real standby. know what i mean?

I think I have this right. The system IS in standby if you keep it on and close it. I believe the manual says that streetpass will still work with most software running, but there are some exceptions (like the 3DS sound application). So I would suspect closing the system during Nintendogs would be okay for streetpass.
