You're completely missing the point, maybe read his topic and the replies again carefully.

Nintendo never said every platinum member would get the demo. its like the pizza hut cards. Sure being platinum ups your chances but it wasn't a "hey you reached platinum!" reward like the end of the year rewards are.

'Elsewhere' is not here and now. To me the e-mail looks perfectly reasonable and understandable given the circumstances.

The bottom line is that what's done is done. The OP was not randomly selected and the public demo is now available. Go enjoy the demo and then enjoy the game when it's released. If you think the reason you were not randomly selected is because your house is green instead of purple, you own a cat instead of a dog, or you left a checkbox unchecked, then go and change these things and hope that next time you're in the 'selected' group. There still will be no guarantee.
