I seriously hope they bring this to NA, I'll buy one if they do. My guess as to why they haven't announced it yet is because it'll be releasing sometime in the first half of next year and they want to get one last good holiday season out of the old model. Nobody would buy it if they knew the superior version was coming out for a little bit more only a few months down the line.

Not if they are trying to sell Wii Us right now. It would take away from that console if they released the "New" 3DS models right now. The Wii U isn't selling too well right now. I am happy that it isn't releasing this holiday season. I have no money for a new system right now.

Wii u probably will never sell too well, unless we get hit titles like a new zelda game (in progress) and metroid game.. Super smash bros. was going to be the big thing for the wii u but releasing it for the 3ds too early kinda ruined it for those who don't want two verisons.

Yeah your right it will never sell well plus I re-edited my comment. But yeah you got it. & lets not forget what's holding Nintendo on those rough waters is the 3DS. SO I don't see why Nintendo can't release it for the west? ASAP!

I intend to just buy the 3DS game when I decide to get around to it. The WiiU game is $20+tax more for pretty much the same exact experience other than the unique perk mode one over the other has ultimately and since I couldn't care less about going online(which it can do just fine anyway on 3DS) it has no value to me and I sure see no sane reason to buy both even with them baiting that free CD.

Well obviously Nintendo of America would disagree with you. They are not going to give up on their home console, the way that some of you are doing. And don't forget that Nintendo went through the same thing with the 3DS and look where that is now.
