Topic: New dark spyro

The whole action figures would be better done if the game weren't such a niche thing... But most of the older Spyro fans have moved on, and it's kind of expensive to collect all the action figures, so I wonder how much new blood they're really going to get.

but you need a character that is already implemented and working well to be able to sell this kind of risky merchandise.
pokemon would have been much more reliable in this case. how many kids would buy those freaking infinite number of pokemons for the videogame. this could be nightmarish for parents... or oddballs fans in the end of their 20s.

That's what I was thinking. Here's to looking at you Activision. What were you guys thinking? How are you going to fix this?

The GBA installments were good? Then I might have to take a look at those! But yeah, Spyro's glory days have long passed since the PS1 era.

So wait, I have to buy the 3DS version for $70 along with 3 toys, and then buy 29 other toys just to get the full game? This is the most depressing thing I've heard all week. Poor Spyro.

@hatty475: Yep! And if you do get the whole thing, it will cost you around $350! Isn't that great? (WAAAH!)

Wait, hold up! Something just occured to me...since when was it uncool to have a girlfriend? I'm only familiar with the second incarnation so if the first Spyro had some different kind of "cool" that required him to not like girls or something (afraid of cooties?) I wouldn't know.

Oh yeah, and that actually wasn't Activision's fault. It was the series' previous owner, Sierra. The only part Activision had in that trilogy was sticking their logo onto the front of the last game's box. Their name doesn't even show up in the actual game.

Although, I guess since Sierra was bought by Activision, I suppose those people might be working for them now so it might be their fault in a sense...?
