Iwata mentioned that non GB/GBC titles will be released at a later date. So for the launch window you'll likely have to make due with Nintendo's two platforms and 3D Classics only.

Well, they did admit to the problems of the Wii Shop Channel (navigation-wise). Hope they do change things indefinitely.

Nintendo put off having the shop available right away so that it could be near perfect when it launches. I'm gonna predict that there will be 7 games at launch. 5 from Nintendo, 2 third party

How much would people be willing to pay for these games? If I can get old GBC games for a pound or two from a car boot sale, it'd be hard to justify paying four or five pound just for the convenience of being able to carry it around with me. That said... don't think I could resist Link's Awakening...
