People need to believe that the 3DS can run games!

As Spirit Tracks has the same graphics as Wind Waker (in closeup mode), I basically use it as my equivalent of Wind Waker. However, I don't particularly like using the stylus to move around.

The last part makes sense at least. The first part? Yeah, still not seeing where you're going there...

What's so hard to understand that they share the same art style? ST isn't cel-shaded but it looks similar to Wind Waker. Sheesh.

Just for you.

What's so hard to understand is how someone can say that they're using a game as a substitute for another game when the art style is the only thing they share.

Not a big fan of port, after port, after port, but I don't see why the 3DS couldn't handle Gamecube games.
Hoping Smash Bros for the 3DS will be even better than Melee (big shoes to fill in my opinion).
Also, take a look at Luigi's Mansion 2.
...me personally would of course love to see Sonic Adventure 2: Battle in same way, but we all know that won't happen.

I understand that Spirit Tracks and Wind Waker are only 5% alike. However, I can still pretend it's like having Wind Waker.

Almost right GC32 (have to play you on MK7 again this week ;D), the 3DS could technically run somewhere between an enhanced Gamecube or a slightly weaker Wii, the main problem is that inorder to use the 3D graphics a good chunk of it's power has to be diverted (the "alternate" images use seperate polygons so use up processor & memory capacity)... which is why some games like Streetfighter can run 60fps with the 3D off but only 30fps with it on.

I think I've said it before... if a developer wanted to do a straight port of a Gamecube it could be done easilly, but they'd have to sacrifice the 3D. I don't think anyone would do that right now.

Well they tried 3D on the Gamecube but the technology wasn't really available yet (screenwise)... plus if they used 3D on the Gamecube, the graphics wouldn't have been as good as they'd have had to syphon off some of it's power to the "alternate view" polygons. I wouldn't have seen that play as well in the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube battle.

Oh, and I think they tried 3D on the GBA as well... they really WERE determined to make a 3D console!
