Topic: Does anybody have this play-coin glitch?

I take the school bus home and too school. When I arrive home I'd expect to see 900+ footsteps. And obviously, 9+ play coins. However, I have experienced this glitch a few times. I arrive home and see I have around 960 steps. Then I close my 3DS to shake it too 1000 steps(Tee-hee). When I open my 3DS it suddenly said I only walked 600 steps. So, how did 950 steps turn into 600. Anyone know or had this problem before?~even if I shake it 100 more times, nothing will happen. I finally got my last play-coin when I got to 900steps.

Maybe your 3DS knows when you're cheating and punishes you for that

I've never had anything like that happen before. However I'm wondering if anyone can answer, is there some kinda limit as to how many coins the 3DS registers into the system per day or steps or whatever? The reason I ask is because the past few days I know I've walked maybe within the 10,000-100,000 steps, a couple of which didn't appear to register any steps. Next day or so i walked the same amount I normally do, only got 10 more, then 10 again the next walking distance. So today I'm at 113,359, steps, with 99 coinds which is what I already had this morning.

I've had that glitch as well. I walk a bit, open it up and see (as an example) 600 steps and 6 coins. Yay! Close it back up, keep on walking. Open it up, it's at 300 steps and still 6 coins. Then I have to get it to 700 steps to get the 7th coin, and then everything continues on as usual.

The 3DS will only give you 10 coins a day, it will only let you have 300 maximum. That be the rules!

Also, the 3DS does have some anti-cheating software that tries to work out whether it's being shaken or walked with... they had this in the pokéwalker too. A circular motion made while shaking helps.

Hmm....Wonder if it was some kinda update then because I could swear quite a few months back maybe when I walked more I thought it was giving me more coins. Ah well....

I accumulate about 4,000 steps a day, and I get this. With me, I'll open it and it will say 4,000 steps or so, and then I'll open it later and it's down to 2,500 or something, and then later it's back at 4,000. I think it has something to do with turning the WiFi on and off at various times during the day.

I don't see what the WiFi would have to do with anything. Mine is always on in sleep mode connected via Nintendo USB WiFi adaptor. I don't usually connect to anything outside cept spotpass stuff, but that's usually like at the mall, shopping, etc.
