I'm kinda new with playing my 3DS and have only finished two games so far (Pokemon Y and Etrian Odyssey IV). I'm planning on buying a new game at the end of this month and I don't know whether I'd go for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance or Bravely Default. Both are really great titles from Square Enix and I'm really torn between the two. Been fan of KH but I'd also like to try out BD although I'm not sure if I'll like the gameplay/story or not. Your input is highly appreciated. Thanks.

You don't have game if you ain't got ME.

Both BD and KH have a demo on the 3DS eshop You can try those two and see which you like best

Personally I'd get something that's not a RPG just for a change but as been pointed out already both games you're tempted by have a demo so I would check those out and then decide.

Hmmm. I hope you don't mind me asking but what genre/games do you recommend to new 3DS owners?

If Etrian Oddyssey IV got you hooked, there's also a remake of some sorts of the first game, with an optional story mode. I'm currently playing it (when I'm not watching my Mii's throw random stuff at each other in Tomodachi Life).

But as said before, 3DS has a wide variety of games, and some are really, REALLY incredibly good.

Resident Evil Revelations
Luigi's Mansion 2
Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds / Ocarina of Time (even if you've played it before, it's the best version)
Fire Emblem
... The usual ones

But also:
Monster Hunter 3 (although I'd go for the Wii U version, if that's an option to you. It has online play)
Tales of the Abyss
Virtue's Last Reward, as also mentioned before
Inazuma Eleven (and I'm not even a football/soccer fan)
Cave Story 3D (or the original as a download)
Kid Icarus Uprising
There's even a game of both Professor Layton AND Phoenix Wright!
And if you like these game series, and some rhythm, there's also Rhythm Thief.

And from the two you mentioned, I'd pick BD over KH for the classic RPG gameplay, and wonderful art. I found KH to be a bit confusing as well.

Sounds like you dig RPGs. You can't go wrong with any any of the Shin Megami Tensei titles. Shin Megami Tensei IV, Devil Summoner - Soul Hackers, or Devil Survivor Overclocked (turn based strategy/rpg hybrid).

Also, I've been having a blast with Rune Factory 4. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but its one of the few action/rpgs on the system. Also a bit of a farm sim.
