The AIRace series was definitely my favorite DSIware - can't wait for the 3DS version. Should make finding the holes much easier
I'm curious - AIRace was an excellent kart racer. Very well balanced, with a difficulty I'd argue we haven't seen in the genre on a Nintendo system since Freaky Fliers on the GC. How would you improve AIRace? If you could do it again, what is the one feature you would want to add and (if any) that one aspect you would want to take away?

Hi. I think you made a mistake, AiRace was a plane racer, not a kart racer. So, you're asking what we would improve if we were to make a racing game with direct opponents on the same tracks, so more like AiRace on DSi and not like AiRace Speed upcoming on 3DS?
A lot of things! Of course there would be general big improvements (graphics, levels complexity, number of planes, of levels etc.). But that's obvious. Regarding adding more specific features, for sure we would add online multiplayer and not only through local wireless connection like in AiRace on DSi. And then I am not sure but maybe we'd create a more specific universe with a storyline and various modes besides racing, like co-op or battle. I don't see now any peculiar thing to take away. But actually it would be more interesting to know what you would improve, add and eventually take away?
Local multiplayer would be excellent, and I'd love to see a storyline or alternate modes!
The feature I'd realistically like to see is multiplayer, and if possible with a limited download-play option (maybe one-level, one-plane, can't select options, etc) so that I can convince my friends to head to the eshop and purchase their own copy for multiplayer. If absolutely anything were possible, I'd like to see the ability to upload/download custom racetracks via spotpass/qr codes/hosting on the internet, since I don't think that's ever been done before. Playing music from the SD card in-game would be cool, too.
The feature I'd take away would be the inability to skip cutscenes. The intro movie for AIRace was spectacular the first time I saw it...but by the 30th time, I just wanted to get into a race.

You can skip the intro, just tap the touch screen.
Been playing for some time and never thought to tap the touch screen....Thanks
More on topic: I've downloaded AIRace Speed, and can't recommend it enough - the sense of speed is great, the leaderboards have gotten competitive, and the controls with the circle pad are spot on. Don't pass this one up!

You just answered the two things I was wondering. However, I hope someone can give a bit more on the speed of it. I prefer racing really fast, like in Burnout, how would it compare, slower, same, or faster than Burnout?
Friend list is full, I will be clearing room for Bravely Default soon though. Colors! 3D Gallery, My Blog
NNID: KittenKoder ..... what else would it be?
It's pretty slow on the first few races but it gradually gets faster (obviously), but if you really want a great sense of speed, just have nitro engaged all the way through, it can get quite hard to control at some points which makes it even more fun.
