This is bogus. Im sick of them holding back on releasing VC and look at all these crappy crap crap. TWO PUZZLE GAMES! THE WIIWARE IS ALREADY FILLED WITH A HUNDRED USELESS BORING YAWN PUZZLE GAMES! IM SO SICK OF THIS!
Half the games on Nintendo Life's "Coming Soon" are games that are bound to be canceled. IE :Retro City Rampage, Night Sky, Super Meat Boy, etc...
Its called vaporware. Companies intentionally mislead consumers into thinking their product is near completion. When in fact, the game is still in early alpha/beta testing.
Listen. The inherent problem with owning a wii, is we are subject to scrupulous attacks from fancy PS3 and XBOX360 owners, who constantly harass our sense of gaming style. So then, in spite of them, we hold on, like a captain on a sinking ship, women and children first. Us men, who already have a hard time justifying certain games we own (insert random wii title) to our gaming system counterparts, must deal with this now too? It just seems absurd that we only have Nintendo putting out good games for this (with certain SEGA and ACTIVISION exceptions) system, when they are the makers. Then comes along COOL RETRO CITY RAMPAGE, (YOU COULD WIN AN ORIGINAL NES GAME CARTRIDGE). HAHA TAKE THAT PS3 and XBOX360 owners, we have a cool game coming out that is going to be MAN-LY! ...
alas my dreams of becoming a grown adult playing a system that fits in among the hardcore multiplayer games and gore of the other systems, comes crashing down
no no my friends, this here is what we call a pipedream, a front, a lie for the most part. This dood is some sort of psychotic perfectionist, and will never ever be able to meet his own "standards"... its all bogus. Lol I give up on this game, lol but its funny how NL still has it as a game that isn't out yet....LOL! it's never going to come out, same thing with Night Sky by Nicalis....
It's all just pipedreams...
Sweet, heavenly pipedreams...
Well sorry, I live in objective reality, and I refuse to sit by and idly wait for something I fullheartedly know that isn't to be.
I mean I've heard of rushjobs, but this is a .... NOjob....
IE...it was never meant to be.. basically, the intent of this game ,was to scare competitors into never making the above mentioned canceled game. Why? Because Im sure this dood wrote a little bit of code for the game, but come on, lets be real, its like if you are not ready to release it, then do not give a date, do not give us false hope! It's sad, because it looked like a clever game, but I heard from the man himself! "I am not going through with the development of Retro City Rampage, due to insufficient funds and lack of time to write all of the strings of code for this original NES game, I apologize to the antcipated fans, but I can no longer afford to support making this game, possibly in the future when more monetary units become available, i will be able to make my way back into this venture,"
Looks like BIT.TRIP.BEAT only with the pad other side of the screen, and with a more elaborate background. If thats the case, I'm going to be a bit disappointed.
@IanDaemon I mean, don't get me wrong, it had its moments, but to me, the fact they are making another one so soon... when the first one was in my opinion a "rush" job. Now, we are both from the states dood, obviously we have a higher sense of what a good game should be. Also We are wii owners, so we are already subject to a lot of from our friends who own cooler, more expensive systems. So before you start giving it the "benefit of the doubt", I'd reconsider your original opinion of the game.
@Ian Daemon Hey dood, I don' t really think the conduit was fun. I mean, come on, the online was generic. There was no level system like on COD, I mean, it was fun at first, but it got old. plus it was laggy and my Wii Speak didn't work that well, plus you had to use friend codes to talk to people. I dunno and the offline was lame with only ten levels. I mean, before the game came out I was pumped. I use to talk the game up to all my Xbox360 and PS3 Friends, saying "Yeah man, its gonna change the way you think of the wii".... and it was def not that revolutionary.
@peterifico yeah I finally figured that out lol. The demo is different from the full verison, u dont get that special move till later. Its pretty fun though, and judging by the amount of time NL is taking to write a review, it must be worthy of the 12 american dollars I threw at it. All in all hoping there are some cooler moves later on too.
@vcmacleod yeah I dunno, I just got the demo too. It's pretty fun, but like you said, I'm having trouble keeping my pool of water in one viscous whole. Like similar games that use the wii remote as some sort of balance stick, I am having trouble getting a hang of the controls. It may be that I am just inherently bad with motor skills, or it may objectively just not feel right. All in all, im going to wait for a review, most likely a buy, but I want to know how many levels there are and if the player eventually adjusts to the controls. I mean maybe I just didn't give it enough time, but I kept losing my water..
I dont even see the game on the shopping network. I think its a hoax. they def did not release today... hopefully when I log on later its there... maybe we have to wait till noon here on the east coast

Re: Brian Provinciano Addresses Retro City Rampage WiiWare Delay
Why do we deal with these companies?
Re: Retro City Rampage
it's drawn from the world of knowledge that is a game that takes too long to release.
Re: WiiWare Super Meat Boy Gets Canned
Another classic sign of vaporware my friends. Why do we even bother with these companies.
Re: Retro City Rampage
That is a direct quote btw. I knew it was too good to be true! Im surprised NL didn't get that info before me!
